Sustainability Manager

We are seeking a Sustainability Manager within Diagnostics Supply Chain with focus on the ESG agenda to help us achieve our sustainability and social responsibility goals. As Sustainability Manager, you will be responsible for identifying and implementing initiatives to reduce our carbon footprint across the entire up-stream supply chain. Additionally, you will lead efforts to promote and protect human rights within our operations and supply chains. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to develop and implement sustainability strategies that align with our company's mission, values, and commitment to human rights.

Strengthening impact of sustainability initiatives and increasing focus on human rights

At Demant we are motivated by the mission, values and commitments we have made in our Sustainability strategy to reduce scope 1, 2 and 3 greenhouse gas emissions by 46% by 2030 and to reaching net-zero emissions across the value chain by 2050. In Global Procurement you will play an important role in ensuring we move forward with our initiatives and ambitions for the future.

Concretely as our new sustainability manager you will:

·         Conduct a comprehensive analysis of our company's Scope 3 emissions and human rights impact, identifying areas for improvement and prioritization.

·         Develop and implement strategies to reduce Scope 3 emissions and overall carbon footprint, ensuring alignment with internationally recognized emissions reduction frameworks.

·         Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement sustainable practices and initiatives across all areas of the business, addressing both environmental and social impacts.

·         Establish robust human rights due diligence processes, including supply chain assessments, to identify and address potential risks and violations.

·         Engage with suppliers and other external partners to promote respect for human rights throughout the supply chain, including adherence to internationally recognized standards and guidelines.

·         Monitor and report on progress towards sustainability goals, including Scope 3 emissions reductions and human rights performance, ensuring transparency and accountability.

·         Stay informed about the latest developments in sustainability, climate change, and human rights, integrating emerging trends and best practices into the company's strategy and operations.

Qualifications:

·         Bachelor's or master’s degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Human Rights, Business, or a related field.

·         A minimum of 2 years of experience in sustainability, environmental management, and human rights, with a specific focus on Scope 3 emissions and supply chain due diligence.

·         Strong analytical skills and the ability to conduct comprehensive analyses of sustainability and human rights data.

·         Positive communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

·         Proven history of developing and implementing successful sustainability and human rights initiatives.

·         In-depth knowledge of sustainability best practices, emissions reduction strategies, human rights frameworks, and responsible supply chain management.

·         Experience in project management and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

·         Passion for sustainability, climate action, and human rights, with a commitment to bringing positive change.
