Strategic Procurement Manager

Are you a strategic procurement expert ready to elevate our Strategic procurement department to new heights? You will be working out of our headquarters in Middelfart, Denmark, where we support development, are responsible for manufacturing, sourcing and logistics of medical equipment for hearing and balance solutions not only for Interacoustics but also several other of the world’s leading brands in field and has facilities in Europe, the USA, and Asia. Our focus is on creating high-quality products that positively impact on all users, with particular attention to children.

Manage strategic procurement initiatives

In your role as the Strategic Procurement Manager, you will oversee strategic category management, identify cost-saving opportunities, and ensure audit preparedness while collaborating with R&D. Your leadership will propel strategic procurement projects, and you will collaborate with the ESG team to guarantee supplier compliance with CSRD demands. You will maintain precise documentation and provide technological insights to support development projects. Partnering closely with R&D, you will design cost-effective solutions and offer sourcing support throughout the development process, ensuring alignment with our strategic goals and optimal resource
We have 5 experienced employees working as the category responsible for today. 3 of these are located at the headquarters in Middelfart, and these will report to you. Furthermore, you will be closely aligned with procurement teams based in Poland and the USA. You will report to the Senior Director Supply Chain. The position is based at our headquarters in Middelfart.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Category Management: Analyze, define, and implement category and sub-category strategies in collaboration with the category responsible.
  • Cost Savings: Deliver savings in line with agreed targets.
  • Audit-Readiness: Ensure audit-readiness and maintain correct documentation, including updates on agreements to comply with medical regulations.
  • R&D Support: Provide necessary technology input to R&D and support development projects through a matrix organization to design for cost/procurement.
  • Project Leadership: Oversee and manage strategic procurement projects.
  • ESG Collaboration: Work closely with the ESG team to ensure suppliers adhere to CSRD demands.

Who we are looking for

We are seeking a candidate with a bachelor’s or master’s degree in business, Supply Chain Management, or similar higher commercial education. You possess solid knowledge within global sourcing and procurement and have experience with negotiation and contract management. Experience in a regulated industry (Medical, food, or similar) will be an advantage.
You have good communication, coordination and stakeholder management skills, as you need to engage with different management levels both internally and externally.
As an international company, our company language is English; therefore, you are professionally proficient in English and have strong oral and written communication skills.
You should expect 20 travel days per year primarily to Poland, US or Asia, to visit our departments and key suppliers located there.
