You will join a leading supplier of premium diagnostic audiological equipment used daily in hearing clinics and hospitals worldwide. As part of our strategic procurement agenda, we are strengthening our organization with a Category Manager role dedicated primarily to the plastics category.
In this role, you will be responsible for plastics across our product portfolio, ensuring strong supplier partnerships, high quality standards, and cost-efficient solutions that meet the requirements of a regulated MedTech environment.
The position is located at Interacoustics HQ in Middelfart.
A specialist role with a technical and global impact
This is a new position where you will define, build and drive category strategies, optimize the supplier portfolio, and ensure the right agreements and supplier relationships are in place.
You will work closely with stakeholders across the organization to ensure alignment and progress across product categories and suppliers.
Your main responsibilities include:
- Develop and implement category strategies with clear objectives for supplier development, quality, and cost
- Drive continuous cost-reduction initiatives
- Negotiate agreements and build strong relationships that support both quality and business goals
- Drive supplier segmentation, SRM, consolidation, and performance follow-up
- Ensure contract management and compliance in collaboration with QA/RA and other functions
- Contribute to process improvements, e.g. within master data and lifecycle/EoL management
- Support development projects in close cooperation with R&D, Procurement Project Leads and other Category Managers
The position offers significant influence on category strategy and contributions to the development of state-of-the-art medical equipment across Demant Diagnostics brands and businesses; hence some travel activity can be expected.
This is a specialist role without direct people management responsibility.

You will report to the Strategic Procurement Manager, Anette Hegelund, and be part of the Global Strategic Diagnostics Procurement team consisting of 9 colleagues across Denmark and Poland. You will join a team of dedicated professionals with a strong collaborative mindset and a clear focus on driving procurement improvements.
Your background
You bring strong business acumen and a strategic mindset, and you are motivated by driving results through collaboration and influence.
We imagine that you:
- Hold a relevant degree within business, supply chain, engineering or similar
- Have experience within procurement, category management or strategic sourcing ideally in a regulated manufacturing environment
- Have worked with plastics components used in electronic products or high-quality technical devices
- Are a strong negotiator, cost-driven and result-oriented
- Have international experience and the ability to create alignment across countries and functions
- Are analytical and structured and comfortable navigating complex supply chains
- Have strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Have a curious mindset and quickly understand products, processes and requirements
- Have experience with regulatory requirements and documentation, e.g. ISO 13485, MDR or MDSAP (an advantage)
Experience within medical devices is an advantage, otherwise electrical instruments is preferable.
