You will join a leading supplier of premium diagnostic audiological equipment used every day in hearing clinics and hospitals worldwide. We are looking for a procurement professional who will take ownership of category strategies and supplier relationships to ensure quality, cost efficiency, and compliance. The position is located at our modern Interacoustics HQ in Middelfart.
A specialist role within strategic procurement with global impact
As a Category Manager, you will develop and execute category strategies, optimize the supplier portfolio, and ensure we have the right agreements and relationships in place. You will work closely with many stakeholders to secure alignment and progress globally within your product categories.
Your main responsibilities will include:
• Develop and implement category strategies with clear objectives for supplier development, quality, and cost
• Initiate and drive continuous cost-reduction initiatives
• Negotiate agreements and build strong relationships that support both quality and business goals
• Drive supplier segmentation, SRM, consolidation, and performance follow-up
• Ensure contract management and compliance in collaboration with QA/RA and other functions
• Contribute to process improvements (e.g., harmonization of master data and lifecycle/EOL management)
• Work closely with R&D, other category managers, and Procurement Project Leads to support development projects
The position offers the opportunity to influence long-term procurement strategies and contribute to the development of state-of-the-art medical equipment across DGS Diagnostics’ brands and businesses.
Approximately 20–30 travel days per year can be expected.
Get to know your new team
You will report to the Strategic Procurement Manager and join the Global Diagnostics Procurement team consisting of dedicated professionals who combine seamless collaboration with a fun, informal atmosphere and a strong commitment to making strategic procurement improvements. This is a specialist role without direct management responsibility and with influence through category ownership and collaboration
Your background
You have solid business acumen, a strategic mindset, and thrive in a role where influence comes through collaboration. You have a technical degree (e.g., in engineering) and or a degree in supply chain or procurement combined with solid experience in strategic sourcing and category management within technical or regulated environments.
We imagine that you:
• Are a strong negotiator, cost-driven, and result-oriented with a can-do attitude
• Have international experience and the ability to create alignment and progress globally
• Possess technical understanding and curiosity and quickly grasp products, processes, and requirements
• Are analytical, structured, and comfortable with complex projects and long-term processes
• Have excellent communication and stakeholder management skills – you influence and create buy-in across the organization
• Understand regulatory requirements and documentation (ISO 13485/MDR/MDSAP is a plus)
• Are fluent in English
Experience within medical devices is an advantage, otherwise electrical instruments.
