Become part of a leading supplier of premium diagnostic audiological equipment used every day in hearing clinics and hospitals around the world. We are looking for a procurement professional who will take responsibility for category strategies and supplier relationships with a strong focus on quality, cost efficiency, and compliance.

You will join a dedicated team of nine colleagues working within categories such as plastics, mechanics, electro mechanics, and electronics, supporting Diagnostics companies globally.

The position is based at our modern Interacoustics headquarters in Middelfart and covers several brands within the diagnostics business. 

 

A specialist role with technical and global impact

As Category Manager, you will develop and execute category strategies, optimize the supplier portfolio, drive cost effectiveness initiatives, and ensure that we have the right agreements and relationships in place.

Collaboration across functions and regions will be essential to secure alignment and progress within your categories.

Your key responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement category strategies with clear objectives for supplier development, quality, and cost
  • Initiate and drive continuous cost effectiveness initiatives
  • Negotiate agreements and build strong, long-term relationships that support both quality and business goals
  • Drive supplier segmentation, SRM, consolidation, and performance management
  • Ensure contract management and compliance in collaboration with QA/RA and other functions
  • Contribute to process improvements, e.g. harmonization of master data and lifecycle/EOL management
  • Work closely with R&D, other Category Managers, and Procurement Project Leads to support development projects

 

The role provides the opportunity to influence long-term direct procurement strategies and contribute to the development of state-of-the-art medical equipment across Demant Diagnostics brands.

Up to 22 - 30 days of travel should be expected.

Get to know your new team

You will report to Strategic Procurement Manager, Anette Hegelund, and join the Global Strategic Diagnostics Procurement team consisting of dedicated professionals who combine seamless collaboration with a fun, informal atmosphere and a strong commitment to making strategic procurement improvements. This is a specialist role without direct reports.

 

Your background

You bring solid business acumen, a strategic mindset, and thrive in a role where influence is built through collaboration. You hold a technical degree, e.g. in engineering, and/or a degree in supply chain or procurement, combined with solid experience in strategic sourcing and category management within technical, medical or other regulated environments.

We imagine that you:

  • Are a strong negotiator, cost-driven and result-oriented with a can-do attitude
  • Have international experience and the ability to create alignment across borders
  • Possess technical understanding and curiosity and quickly grasp products, processes, and requirements
  • Are analytical, structured, and comfortable with complex projects and long-term processes
  • Communicate clearly and create buy-in among stakeholders
  • Understand regulatory requirements and documentation. ISO 13485/MDR/MDSAP is a plus
