Account Manager

 Role:

Sydney based working from our Macquarie Park office and from your home base as agreed, the Account Manager will be part of an energetic and positive team which has the responsibility for generating end user sales in NSW, ACT, QLD, and NT via a channel distribution GTM model.

As the Account Manager you will manage sales, promotions, quotations, and training. This dynamic role requires the building of successful relationships with our distributors, local and global reseller partners, strategic partners (vendors) and end users located in your area that led to the achievement of the area’s sales goals.

  

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reports to the Sales Director ANZ.
  • Achieve territory sales target through capitalizing on existing and generating/building new partner relationships (new business development) and projects.
  • Partner with key stakeholders to provide excellent customer service to ensure their sales and technical queries are met.
  • Foster positive working relationships with internal stakeholders to support the needs of our clients for all technical, sales and account queries.
  • Follow up Salesforce leads and maintain your reporting on leads, contacts, and opportunities.
  • Participate in distributor, reseller partner and brand promotional activities (trade shows & on-site demonstrations).
  • Provide customers with relevant product release information and product updates.
  • Contribute to weekly sales and marketing meetings.
  • Provide weekly forecasts, market activities, market direction/intelligence, and sales report.
  • Resolve issues in accordance with distributor, reseller partners and end user expectations.
  • Participate in company provided training as required.

Knowledge, skills & experience:

  • Telecommunications/Unified Communications and or, Meeting Room Solution industry sales experience within a global leader (desirable) however a minimum, demonstrable interest in voice / IT / Unified Communications and video communications is required
  • Demonstrated ‘Hunter” and ‘Farmer’ approach to new business development in a B2B sales environment is an advantage
  • Entrepreneurial skills – grow the business from its current base
  • Excellent customer service and sales skills with minimum 3 years individual sales experience
  • Technical aptitude and curiosity
  • Ability to present to reseller partners and end users in workshops, trade shows, promotional presentations and 1-on-1 environments in a professional and personable manner is an advantage
  • A Team player with the ability to work autonomously (self-motivating), problem solve and timely decision maker
  • Able to undertake interstate travel with overnight stays and some evening work
