Production Test Engineer with Audio Background & Coordination Skills

The Opportunity

You will join our Hardware Development Production Test team, where we continuously improve our current mass production test solutions by improving the related requirements and test specifications. In EPOS Device function, we are experts in electronics, mechanics, acoustics, and production testing solutions for some of the best enterprise products on the market.
As a Production Test Engineer at EPOS, you will oversee the development of production test solutions. You will define requirements and validate their fulfillment using data analysis tools and test facilities across various domains, including PCBA, UI, and audio.

In this role, your Key Responsibilities will be

  • Mastering production test requirements and being able to reflect them in test specifications for each production project. There will be a special focus on audio requirements, and you need to have a good understanding of such.
  • Serve as a central team player, coordinating in-house development and verification activities with colleagues from the Audio, Software, and Hardware teams.
  • Gain deep insights into EPOS products and the measurement systems used during manufacturing, with a special focus on acoustics and hardware design.
  • Specify, plan, validate, debug, and optimize production test solutions in collaboration with the EPOS team and suppliers in China.

About You

The ideal candidate has the following qualifications:

  • Experience: At least 2+ years in a technical coordination role.
  • Knowledge: A solid understanding of production processes and testing flows. There is a need to understand audio engineering at a high level so some kind of educational audio background would be beneficial.
  • Analytical Skills: Data-driven with solid analytical capabilities. We need you to be capable in handling production statistics and understand production tolerances, CPK and GRR. You should feel comfortable in visualizing data and presenting it in different formats to different stakeholders.
  • Technical Expertise: Good understanding of acoustics and PCBA testing; experience with audio test systems (e.g., SoundCheck) is not mandatory.
  • Coordination: Ability to provide and maintain an overview of ongoing activities and projects.
  • Communication: Fluent in English.
