Graphic Designer - 18 Month Contract

Purpose of the Position

•    To support marketing with print and digital design deliverables for all WDH business units. 
•    To coordinate corporate advertising campaigns and address customers’ requests for clinic-specific advertisements.
•    Liaise with marketing staff, external vendors and stakeholders (such as printers, mailing houses and clients).

Responsibilities

•    Create innovative designs for corporate creative executions and marketing initiatives, including: deliverables for trade shows, conferences, and special events, social media, advertising, newsletters, special promotions and contests
•    Assist with managing the creative brand (including website, advertising, corporate identity) and utilize master brand assets to create new material for various mediums
•    Assisting customers with marketing and advertising initiatives including, but not limited to; newspaper, yellow page and open house advertising
•    Gathers, co-ordinates and organizes assets necessary for creating scheduled e-mail blast communication to customers announcing important events in the company (product launches, customer trips, marketing initiatives, etc.)
•    Creating content for social media and campaigns across corporate pages (Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube and Instagram)
•    Assisting the team with print production issues for large and small format signage and collateral, and resolving production issues with external vendors
•    Designing templates and graphics using Adobe Creative Suite
•    Assisting with updates to the corporate website using Sitecore and ensuring documents and web pages are current and properly linked
•    Responsible for tracking and reporting online activity for e-coms, websites, etc.
•    Liaise with the corporate offices to ensure corporate advertising campaigns are launched to the Canadian market in a professional and timely manner
•    Assess new standards, technologies and trends and implement plans for future enhancement of event executions and event material designs, as well as promotional marketing material
•    Responsible for completing any other marketing-related projects as assigned

Qualifications

•    A strong portfolio showcasing print and digital events collateral and signage 
•    2+ years of experience in graphic design, with print production experience an asset
•    Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite programs in a PC environment
•    Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven track record of successful interaction with vendors, customers, and internal staff
•    Strong grammatical, spelling, and proofreading skills
•    Ability to successfully manage shifting priorities and multiple projects in their queue, while maintaining strong attention to detail and consistency
•    Experience working within cloud-based project management tools (Asana, Wrike, etc.)
•    Comfortable and interested in learning new platforms/software/relevant skills as required 
•    Experience working with Sitecore or similar CMS tools is an asset
