Driving new product development from idea to launch
In the role of Senior Project Manager - NPD, you will lead cross‑functional development projects from early scoping and discovery through development, verification, and market launch. You will ensure clarity of scope, robust planning, transparent decision‑making, and strong cross‑functional collaboration across R&D, Operations, QA/RA, Supply Chain, Product Management and Commercial.
This role is ideal for someone with solid experience managing projects A – Z, who enjoys combining structure with collaboration, and who can balance speed, compliance and quality in a global organisation and regulated industry. You will work closely with both technical and commercial stakeholders and contribute to shaping strong ways of working within Diagnostics product development.
Get to know your new team
The position reports to Senior Manager, NPD projects, Trine Skovlund Neerup, and is part of the NPD projects team, consisting of 3 Project Managers located between the Demant Diagnostics HQ in Smørum or Interacoustics HQ in Middelfart. The position can be held in any of those locations.
The Strategy & Project Portfolio Management team acts as a central enabler of strong execution and alignment across Diagnostics. We support the organisation in translating strategy, commercial opportunities and customer needs into successfully delivered products. As part of the NPD projects team, you will play a key role in driving end‑to‑end product development projects across the full Diagnostics value chain.
Project management professionalism starts with you
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Run efficient, structured leadership with clear alignment, transparency and collaboration on tasks, dependencies, and priorities across R&D, Operations, QA/RA, Supply Chain, Product Management, and Commercial.
- Ensure projects cover the full value chain, with each function owning, and delivering on their responsibilities aligned with stakeholders.
- Ensure commercial, operational, regulatory, and technical deliverables are equally visible and tracked.
- Continuously monitor critical path, dependencies, and assumptions; initiate corrective actions early.
- Facilitate cross‑functional risk identification early and continuously; ensure visibility, ownership, and mitigation actions across all relevant domains.
- Work closely with Product Management and Commercial teams to ensure that the project team understands customer needs, key‑account opportunities, and the commercial rationale behind proposed solutions.
- Support end-to-end (early-phase) scoping in collaboration with Global Strategic Marketing, Product Management, Sales, Operations and R&D to ensure projects are well-defined and viable before initiation.
- Continuous improvement of our working culture in Diagnostics product development, role‑modelling the behaviors of alignment, transparency, and constructive dialogues.
Your qualifications and experience
We imagine that you bring:
- Strong experience leading cross-functional product development projects with exposure to heavily regulated and technology-heavy domains.
- Exposure to Med‑Tech, Diagnostics, Audiology, and/or regulated hardware/software development is advantageous but not required.
- Strong commercial acumen with ability to link customer needs and market insights to product requirements and project scope, enabling you to lead a strong project team.
- Excellent facilitation and communication skills and ability to drive alignment across stakeholder landscape locally and globally. Experience working with both technical and commercial stakeholders will help you succeed in this role.
- A decisive and proactive mindset, driving progress and resolving conflicts.
