Shape the strategic foundation behind world‑leading hearing technologies.
Demant is seeking an experienced Senior Procurement Project Manager to drive supplier readiness and procurement excellence across complex, global product development programs.

In this high‑exposure role, you will work at the intersection of product innovation, global supply chain strategy, and senior management decision‑making - ensuring that every launch is built on a robust, scalable, and future‑ready supply base.

About Demant

Demant develops advanced hearing solutions that make a profound impact on millions of people worldwide. As part of Global Procurement, you will contribute directly to our ability to deliver innovative technologies with precision, reliability, and operational excellence.

Our procurement function plays a central role in aligning R&D, Operations, Supply Chain, and Program Management - ensuring that strategic supplier capabilities match future product ambitions. This is where your expertise becomes critical.

The Role: Strategic Ownership of Supplier Readiness

As Senior Procurement Project Manager, you will assume end‑to‑end responsibility for supplier preparation and procurement strategy execution throughout new product launches. You will act as the procurement authority in product programs and R&D initiatives - securing alignment between category strategies, technology roadmaps, and commercial outcomes.

Approx. 5–15 annual travel days to global suppliers and sites should be expected.

Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Be a trusted partner to senior stakeholders and ensure seamless collaboration across functions.
  • Lead procurement activities within global product development programs.
  • Drive supplier readiness across cost, capacity, capability, and delivery objectives.
  • Establish and manage procurement project plans, risks, milestones, and governance.
  • Align with Strategic Procurement on category strategies and long‑term technology direction.
  • Ensure component maturity and availability through Project Purchasing collaboration.
  • Lead cross‑functional resolution of supply‑related risks and program challenges.
  • Drive early supplier engagement to strengthen design and manufacturability.
  • Promote strong, structured cooperation across R&D, Tooling, Quality, Planning, and Program Management.

A Critical Integrator Across the Organization

You will operate as a strategic connector between:

  • R&D: Driving early engagement, evaluating design and cost implications, and aligning component strategies.
  • Program Management: Supporting program governance, cost target definition, supply chain risks and milestone alignment.
  • Strategic Procurement: Executing sourcing strategies, securing technological advancement, and enabling supply chain resilience.
  • Project Purchasing & Planning: Ensuring robust ramp‑up, supply continuity, and operational readiness.
  • Quality: Driving supplier qualification and compliance aligned with regulatory expectations.

Moreover, we expect the ideal candidate to excel in:

  • Senior Stakeholder Management: Skilled in influencing senior management and driving alignment on cost, supply, and readiness topics
  • Advanced Project Management Skillset: Ability to integrate procurement priorities into product programs and technical development tracks anchored in well-defined project models.
  • Procurement and Sourcing Know-how: Deep understanding of cost drivers, BOM structures, capacity constraints and act as procurement’s primary contributor to product profitability and supply‑risk mitigation

This expanded skillset reflects the expectations of a senior role that not only executes but defines, drives, and elevates procurement’s impact across the value chain.
