In this group we are responsible for innovating and designing embedded software solutions for our hearing aid products. Welcome to Connectivity and Embedded Software

You will become part of the Connectivity and Embedded Software group, a part of the R&D unit Device Software. Referring to the Director, Connectivity & Embedded Software, you will have responsibility for developers working in separate scrum teams. The teams are responsible for the firmware and embedded software which controls the hearing instruments and enables wireless communication to peripheral devices like smart phones. The teams cover various competences including firmware, embedded software, tools & DevOps, test framework- and test developers.

Joining us, you will be a part of a leadership team together with other Line Managers, Scrum Masters and Product Owners. The collaboration in the leadership team is fundamental to our goal of developing state-of-the-art technology and products as efficiently as possible and at the same time building and maintaining a culture based on trust, inclusion, teamwork and growth mindset.

You set up your team for success

The developers in your team are part of a SAFe Agile release train (ART), organized in self-governing scrum teams with product owners, who manage the team backlog, and scrum masters/team coaches who facilitate the team progress towards the goal. As Senior Manager you are expected to excel as line manager, securing that the teams are set up for success in the SAFe setup; and to be a change agent for the transformation. You can look forward to the following responsibilities:

  • Developing highly skilled individuals providing mentorship, coaching, feedback and guidance to ensure their professional growth
  • Contributing to the leadership team you become part of centered embedded software solutions
  • Supporting and executing strategic initiatives in the department
  • Competence and capability management
  • Encouraging innovation and continuous improvement
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies relevant to the area
  • Develop, optimize and maintain processes
  • Work with other leadership positions to remove obstacles for the teams and help the development flow to be as efficient as possible
  • Facilitate the adoption of agile practices within the team, ensuring adherence to the SAFe principles and methodologies
  • Alignment of R&D activities across R&D functions

Personal qualifications

You have documented experience with managing and developing highly skilled and specialized teams in a large-scale R&D setting. You have good people management skills, and you are an inspiring communicator. Developing people, teams, and the context they are in motivates you. As we are looking for a leader for a team working in a SAFe environment, it will be considered a favorable asset if you have prior experience in a leadership role from an Agile/SAFe environment. If you are not familiar with SAFe, we will make sure that you get the proper introduction to the framework and that you become a good SAFe practitioner. 

You inspire followership in your interactions with stakeholders and see yourself as a team player. Most likely you hold a BSc or MSc in Engineering or similar with Domain knowledge for the teams you will lead. You are fluent in English both written and spoken, as it is our company language.
