Senior Machine Learning Engineer
We are looking for a creative, innovative audio signal processing and machine learning Engineer, who has experience developing and maturing early concepts into demonstrable audio algorithms.
About the position
At Eriksholm, we are expanding our capacity to generate working audio concepts that can make a real difference for people with hearing loss. We work closely with our scientists and Oticon R&D to quickly mature the most promising ideas into hearing solutions with impact.
In this position, you will be working in a highly skilled engineering team alongside scientists and engineers. You will be directly supervised by experienced and engaged domain experts. You will be part of a team consisting of 10+ colleagues.
In your new role, you will have responsibilities that include:
- Innovating and developing state-of-the-art audiological algorithms designed for hearing aids, with a focus on improving speech intelligibility and quality for users.
- Training, inspecting, and improving signal processing concepts and ML/AI models using state-of-the art Python frameworks.
- Applying an analytical mindset to break down complex problems and navigate potential solution opportunities.
You will work at Eriksholm and be predominantly based at our headquarters in Smørum.
The ideal candidate
You:
- Enjoy working with focus when your efforts are tied to meaningful deliveries, and you take pride in creating clear progress despite complexity and uncertainty.
- Can work with alignment: you are able to take responsibility for ambiguous problems, propose solutions, and execute independently, while aligning direction and priorities.
- Are a team player who thrives working in close collaboration with your peers and who values trust, mutual respect and openness.
- You put in extra effort to ensure high quality of your own and your team’s deliveries.
- Have a degree in engineering, a background in audio signal processing and machine learning, and knowledge of auditory perception.
You have around 5+ years of experience and knowledge in the following areas:
- Signal processing e.g. noise reduction, beamforming, etc.
- Machine learning theory and practice.
- Navigating uncertainty and working with high-risk concepts.
- Communicating complex content in a clear and concise manner.
Further, knowledge or experience with the following is considered positive:
- Low power processing.
- Acoustics, psychoacoustics, or auditory perception.
