Senior Director, Platforms and Applications - Demant IT

We are looking for an experienced and visionary leader to head up our Platforms & Applications Unit and help shape a modern, and future-ready global IT landscape.

In this role, you will take overall responsibility for the development and evolution of Demant’s enterprise platforms and applications that are shared across our different Business Units. You will play a central role in our transformation journey, where globalization, growth, standardization, and optimization go hand in hand with collaboration, trust, and people development.

As Senior Director, you will bring people, technology, and processes together to create stable, scalable, and user-focused IT solutions that support and empower our business units worldwide. You will set direction, lead leaders, and take strategic ownership of cross-functional platforms and applications.

Welcome to Enterprise Platform, Infrastructure & Security

You will join Demant’s Enterprise Platform, Infrastructure & Security (EPIS) organization, reporting to the Vice President for the EPIS division and becoming part of a leadership team with shared responsibility for Demant’s global IT solutions. The organization consists of around 250 talented professionals working together to enable innovation, reliability, and security across Demant’s global IT operations.

Lead Global Platforms & Applications

In this role, you will lead four departments that together form the backbone of Demant IT’s Unit: Platforms and Applications. Each area plays a critical role in supporting and enabling our global business, and you will work closely with experienced leaders to create clarity, set direction, and support both professional and personal development across teams.

The four departments in the Unit are: HR-IT, Finance Platforms, Business Intelligence, and AI/Automation & Print. Together, these teams comprise approximately 60 colleagues located across Denmark, Poland, and Malaysia.

In addition, you will chair the Group Services IT Board, ensuring transparent governance, clear prioritization, and balanced decision-making around IT investments. You will collaborate closely with business stakeholders across HR, Finance, Legal, and Communications, as well as with other IT areas on finance-related initiatives (ERP ownership lies outside this role).

• Provide strategic leadership for Enterprise Platforms and Applications to ensure sustainable growth and maximize business values.
• Lead, mentor, and develop four global departments in close partnership with their managers.
• Provide chairmanship of the Group Services IT Board, enabling transparent, inclusive decisions and ensuring strong portfolio and financial governance.
• Foster trust‑based partnerships with key stakeholders in HR, Finance, Legal, Communications, and other support functions.
• Collaborate across IT domains on ERP and finance related initiatives and shared priorities.
• Promote innovation, standardization, and continuous improvement across all platforms and applications.
• Ensure high standards for compliance, security, performance, and reliability.
• Enable effective prioritization, resource deployment, and initiative execution that thoughtfully balances ambition, long‑term sustainability, and the wellbeing of our people
• Collaborate with leaders and key stakeholders to develop and expand our new AI Center of Excellence.

What You Bring

You hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in information technology, business administration, engineering, or a related field – and/or you bring equivalent experience.

You bring 6-8+ years of experience from enterprise IT environments, ideally including leadership experience in global or distributed organizations. You have insight into enterprise platforms and applications, with experience in modern financial solutions. Experience with ERP and/or ERP implementations is an advantage.

As a leader, you are curious, inclusive, and communicative. You build trust, create engagement, and bring people together across cultures and functions. You are comfortable navigating complexity and change, and you enjoy translating strategy into meaningful, achievable outcomes that make a real difference for both the business and your teams.

Expected amount of travel days pr year will be around 10 – 30 days depending on various projects
