Project Manager, Strategic Program Organization

Lead strategic initiatives that execute global change
As our new Project Manager, you will lead international, multi-site projects, working with cross-functional teams across various geographies. From shaping project scope to delivering results, you will lead initiatives that align with Demant’s global strategy, focusing on innovation, cost reduction, and continuous improvement.
Key to your effectiveness will be your ability to manage diverse stakeholders, from subject matter experts to senior executives, to ensure project milestones are met on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will play a key role in the implementation of projects spanning across multiple areas, such as:
• Supporting the execution of strategic initiatives
• Managing cross-functional cost-reduction efforts
• Streamlining distribution processes
• Enhancing on-time delivery across our global operations
In addition to overseeing current projects, you will be involved in the early planning stages of new initiatives, ensuring a smooth transition from concept to execution. Your role will be key in improving the overall efficiency of our supply chain, with a strategic focus on cost-effectiveness and LEAN principles.
Key responsibilities
The main tasks in your new role will be, but not limited to:
- Collaborating with international stakeholders to identify business needs and requirements at various levels in the organization from subject matter experts to VP/SVP level.
- Managing multiple high-visibility Supply Chain projects, in various stages by employing focused task management, creative problem-solving skills and tactical and strategic planning to keep projects on time, on budget and on quality.
- Leading and motivating diverse, cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment with project goals and objectives.
- Systematically identifying potential bottlenecks and roadblocks and managing escalations to keep projects on track.
- Depending on the project requirements, you should expect up to 10-20 travel days per year.
About the Strategic Program Organization (SPO)
You will join a team of 10 highly skilled professionals who are focused on transforming strategic visions into reality. Our mission is simple: "We make strategic dreams come true." As a core member of this team, you will gain invaluable insights, expand your professional network, and contribute significantly to the effective functioning of our global operations.
The role is based at our Head Office in Smørum, Denmark, reporting directly to the Director of the Strategic Program Organization.
Leading Cross-Functional teams
We are looking for a highly motivated, results-oriented Project Manager with experience managing complex, cross-functional initiatives. You thrive in complex international environments, applying a structured approach to project planning, stakeholder engagement, and team leadership. Your ability to align diverse teams and deliver impactful results sets you apart.
You manage your projects with professionalism, ensuring milestones are met with precision and quality. With great communication skills, you easily bridge the gap between technical and non-technical stakeholders, maintaining alignment and transparency across the project lifecycle.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years' project management experience within the Supply Chain or Manufacturing sector; experience in Medical or Electronics industries is preferred.
- Experience with PMP, Prince2, or similar project management methodologies, as well as knowledge of LEAN principles.
- Fluently in English, both in written and spoken.
Additional experience with IT implementation projects can be beneficial, and familiarity with change management frameworks such as ADKAR is welcomed. Program and portfolio management experience is also relevant and may enhance your ability to contribute across initiatives.
