Product Owner - GenAI Enabling Team, Device Hardware
Hands-on Product Owner – GenAI Enabling Team, Device Hardware
Join the new GenAI enablement journey in Device Hardware
Are you excited about applying Generative AI to physical products in a regulated environment — and transforming how hundreds of hardware engineers develop (Electronics, Mechanics, Electroacoustics), test, verify, document, and release devices?
In this Product Owner for the Device Hardware (DHW) GenAI Enabling Team you will Lead, prioritize team work and has a hands‑on contribution as an active team member.
You will work at the intersection of hardware engineering, data, and generative AI, helping embed GenAI as a long‑term, responsible capability across hardware development — not as isolated experiments.
Driving value through focus and hands‑on enablement
You will become part of the DHW GenAI Enabling Team, operating within R&D Device Hardware, which is responsible for the full lifecycle of our physical products — from early prototypes and test systems to verification, compliance, and production readiness.
The team is launched as a new initiative, and your voice will matter from day one. You will help shape how we work, what we prioritize, and how we make the team valuable, visible, and attractive to both stakeholders and team members.
While you own and prioritize the team backlog, you will also contribute directly by enabling teams, supporting use‑case prototyping, coaching engineers, and helping AI solutions land in everyday hardware workflows.
You will work closely with:
- Device Hardware engineering teams
- Other R&D GenAI enabling teams and the central R&D AI organization ensuring that AI solutions scale across products and teams, not just single use cases.
Your key responsibilities
As Product Owner and enabling team member, you will:
- Identify organizational needs in Device Hardware and translate them into clear, value‑driven backlog items. Own, manage, and prioritize the GenAI Enabling Team backlog
- Actively enable adoption of approved GenAI tools and workflows in hardware engineering contexts
- Identify, prototype, and implement high‑value GenAI use cases that improve speed, quality, robustness, or efficiency
- Support AI‑ready hardware data and knowledge, respecting governance, IP, compliance, and quality requirements
- Provide hands‑on coaching, workshops, and practical support to teams adopting AI
- Coordinate with central R&D AI stakeholders and other enabling teams to align priorities and share learnings
- Communicate priorities, direction, and expected value clearly to relevant stakeholders
Your profile
We imagine that you:
- Experience as a Product Owner, or similar role involving prioritization and stakeholder alignment
- Are a hands‑on GenAI practitioner who understands real engineering realities
- Understand hardware development (Electronics, Mechanics, Electroacoustics), test, verification, or compliance workflows (beneficial)
- Are able to translate complex challenges into practical, high‑impact AI opportunities
- Are comfortable working across teams without formal authority, enabling through influence and collaboration
- Enjoy working close to hardware engineers and physical products
- Bring strong facilitation and communication skills, curiosity, and a collaborative mindset
