The Tool Design Center design the molds that will mold the parts for our new products. We bridge the development in hardware device and the molding of plastic parts.
Manager for the Tool Design Center
Your focus is to support the development of new products and ensure that they can be produced (Design for Manufacturing).
This you will do by:
Leadership & People Development:
- Lead and develop team members within their technical specialties.
- Support day‑to‑day work through close dialogue and availability.
- Create clarity by acting as the entry point for incoming tasks.
- Build close collaboration, engagement, and well‑being within the team.
Developing the Tool Design Center:
- Ensure Best Practices are used, maintained, and continuously improved.
- Create standard mold models to simplify and streamline design work.
- Introduce AI‑supported tooling solutions, reducing repetitive work and increasing focus on complex, value‑adding tasks.
- Collaborate closely with the Senior Tooling Specialist on process development and early project involvement.
Ensuring Delivery & Structure:
- Coordinate work with Tool Project Managers and Tooling Specialists.
- Maintain transparency and progress via a structured Kanban board.
- Ensure tasks are clearly defined and delivered with high quality.
As this will be your first managerial job, we will of course support you with professional and structured training and coaching, so you have the best starting point for your development.
The job is onsite our headquarters in Smørum, from here you most to be able to start from day one.
Travel
You should expect 25–30 travel days per year, including visits to our factory in Poland (where one team member is based) as well as to suppliers and external collaborators.
About the Team
You will lead a highly skilled team of six specialists with various technical backgrounds. Five is in Smørum and one in Poland. There will be potential to expand the team with more members as tasks and budget allow.
The team was created a couple of years ago and new team members have been added since. Despite the short seniority we have developed a really good work culture with lots of team spirit and daily sparring.

Your Profile
Experience & Technical Background:
- 4+ years within Tooling or Mechanical Construction of tools for injection molding of plastic parts.
- Technical education in Toolmaking, Mechanical Engineering, or similar.
- Solid understanding of injection molding tools and injection molding processes.
Leadership Mindset:
- You believe in leadership over management.
- You understand team dynamics and communicate clearly and respectfully.
- You prioritize employee well‑being and development.
- You see leadership as a skill to continuously grow and refine.
Language Skills:
- Fluent in English and Danish (spoken and written).
