GenAI Solution Engineer - Device Hardware
Experienced GenAI Solution Engineer (Hardware)
Join the new GenAI enablement journey in Device Hardware
Are you excited about applying Generative AI to physical products in a regulated environment — and transforming how hundreds of hardware engineers develop (Electronics, Mechanics, Electroacoustics), test, verify, document, and release devices?
Do you thrive at the intersection of hardware, data, and AI, and want to shape how GenAI becomes a natural part of device development?
Join Demant R&D Device Hardware
Device Hardware (DHW) is responsible for the full lifecycle of our physical devices — from early prototypes and test systems to verification, compliance, and production readiness. This role puts you at the center of Demant’s GenAI transformation within hardware development.
This is a long-term transformation/strategic initiative where your solutions will scale across teams, products, and technologies.
Part of a highly motivated enablement team
You will be part of the Device Hardware department’s dedicated GenAI Enabling Team.
The team is launched as a new initiative, and your voice will matter from day one. You will help shape how we work, influence what we prioritize, and how we make the team valuable, visible, and attractive to both stakeholders and colleagues.
As Senior GenAI Solution Engineer (Hardware) you will have hands-on solution building, enablement/coaching and shaping direction.
Meet your new setup
You will be part of the R&D GenAI enablement ecosystem, working closely with:
- Device Hardware engineering teams
- Other R&D GenAI enabling and central teams' community
You will operate in a highly cross-functional environment, ensuring that AI solutions scale across devices, products, and teams — not just single use cases.
Your key responsibilities
As GenAI Solution Engineer in DHW, you will:
- Drive adoption of approved GenAI tools and workflows in hardware engineering contexts
- Identify, prototype, and implement high-value GenAI use cases that improve speed, quality, or robustness
- Build practical AI solutions for hardware workflows (test data analysis, documentation, compliance, reporting)
- Enable AI-ready hardware data and knowledge while respecting governance, IP, and quality requirements
- Support teams through hands-on guidance, workshops, and practical enablement
- Collaborate with R&D AI stakeholders to ensure scalable, secure, and compliant solutions
- Share learnings, patterns, and building blocks across R&D
About you
You are a hands-on AI practitioner with a strong understanding of engineering realities.
We imagine that you have:
- Experience applying GenAI in an engineering, technical, or data-heavy environment
- You have proven records where you have built and deployed AI solutions
- Solid grasp of context engineering and structuring technical knowledge for effective AI use
- Pragmatic judgment when evaluating tools, architectures, and build‑vs‑buy decisions
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to connect real engineering pain points with AI-supported solutions
- The ability to influence and enable others through clear communication, coaching, and collaboration
- You are strong team player
You do not need to be a hardware designer — but you must enjoy working close to hardware engineers and physical products.
We believe in the good life
At Demant, we trust professionalism and value balance. You will join a collaborative environment where learning, experimentation, psychological safety, and responsible AI adoption are core principles.
