Demant Hearing Aids Global Operations

We are committed to delivering high-end products and excellent services to our customers. Hence Lean is important for us to continuously improve our global supply chain.

 

We are searching for an expert to develop and drive the global Lean transformation in our Global Manufacturing System (GMS), which is inspired by the Toyota Production Systems (TPS). In Demant GMS is Lean, leadership and best practices.

 

 

You have a big influence!

Global Operations has several large line functions and manufacturing sites, each with a leading GMS Partner. They are the local responsible for implementing GMS and are fully engaged on the GMS transformation journey.

In close collaboration with your teammate, you will steer the overall GMS direction and ambition in a matrix setup. You will inspire and be “the glue” for the GMS partners, making us reach new levels of GMS together.

 

You will work strategically, tactically and operationally implementing GMS. Your responsibility can roughly be divided between:

 

  • Defining direction – develop and drive the GMS transformation across Global Operations.
  • Training & facilitation – people and teams across the global supply chain and beyond.
  • Leadership sparring – from top management to shopfloor leaders and SMEs.

 

In more detail you will co-lead the global community of GMS Partners. You will be accountable for the strategy and facilitate the continuous implementation by inspiring and coaching the GMS partners across Demant Hearing Aid Operations incl. wholesale.

 

You will offer coaching and training that enables team members to associate strategic initiatives with tangible GMS performance goals, alongside the GMS Partners.

Annually you will lead and facilitate the Policy Deployment Process for Demant Hearing Aid. You will support the Hearing Aid Leadership team in being successful in the top priority strategic initiatives, by GMS way of working and thinking.

 

You continuously contribute to a documented GMS Academy and Library. You will inspire improvements of the GMS toolbox used for improving processes and mindsets.

 

The organization will request you to facilitate and train cross functional Kaizen events, Problem Solving Processes and workshops utilizing a train-the-trainer concept.

 

Your primarily location is Smørum from where you can expect 30-40 travel days a year for exciting places such as Mexico, Australia, USA, and Poland.

You will join the Global GMS team, which holds two positions in Denmark – the one is yours. Your sidekick has been part of the Global Operations Lean journey from the very beginning and will a be close colleague and sparring partner to you on the continued GMS transformation.

 

The GMS team is anchored in team “Continuous Improvement”. This is an international team specialized in GMS, Project Management, Resilience and Aftersales characterized by high ambitions, informal atmosphere, and core capability of creating followership.

 

 

What we are looking for

To candidate for this position, you must have +5 years of experience with Lean transformations from either an internal position in a large manufacturing company or as an external Lean Consultant working with supply chain management.

 

You bring solid experience in various Lean tools such as Daily Management, problem solving, Kaizen events, and Policy Deployment.

 

With a strategic mindset you are used to working with facilitation and change management to transform line managers into ambassadors.

Your natural authority makes people want to follow your guidance. You thrive in an environment that allows for individual initiative. And you are a brilliant door opener moving around the organization doing stakeholder management.
