Role Purpose:

The Trade Marketing Manager is responsible for driving hearing tests and commercial growth across Audika’s network of 200+ hearing aid clinics through the planning and activation of the retail promotional calendar, local area marketing, new clinic openings and strategic partnerships.

The role owns the retail promotions across the clinic network, translating national marketing and commercial priorities into practical, compelling and scalable programs that can be executed consistently across 200+ locations while allowing targeted activation for priority clinics, clusters and local markets.

The role leads Audika’s local area marketing approach and marketing activation for new clinic openings, working closely with Sales/Analytics to identify market opportunities and build local demand. It also proactively identifies, develops and activates partnerships that can extend Audika’s reach and generate hearing tests, including opportunities with Westfield and other shopping centre partners, local businesses, community organisations, events and relevant strategic or affinity partners.

The Trade Marketing Manager takes a digital-first and data-led approach throughout these activities, ensuring digital and addressable channels are considered from the outset alongside strong physical clinic, community and partnership execution. The role works with specialist channel owners to activate the appropriate digital, CRM and media response while retaining ownership of the retail opportunity, promotional proposition, clinic activation and commercial outcome.

As the key Marketing partner to the Retail network, the role ensures clinics are effectively equipped, engaged and supported to execute marketing activity, and uses performance insights to continuously improve, replicate and scale successful initiatives.

1. Promotional Calendar & Trade Marketing

  • Own and manage Audika’s annual and tactical retail promotional calendar, aligning activity to acquisition priorities, retail objectives, seasonality and national marketing plans.
  • Lead the end-to-end coordination of integrated promotional campaigns across retail, digital, CRM and external agency partners, including campaign briefs, asset requirements, approvals, tracking requirements, launch timelines and readiness checks, ensuring campaigns are delivered accurately and on schedule. Work with channel specialists and media partners to activate the appropriate channels.
  • Lead the development, rollout and execution of promotions across Audika’s 200+ hearing aid clinics, ensuring activity is practical for clinics to implement and consistently executed across the network.
  • Develop promotional propositions, offers, mechanics, briefs and activation plans that create compelling reasons for prospective and existing clients to engage with Audika and support hearing test and commercial growth.
  • Translate national marketing campaigns into retail activation, ensuring clinics receive clear guidance, digital and physical assets, point-of-sale materials, timelines and support.
  • Develop scalable clinic toolkits and templates that enable consistent network-wide execution while allowing appropriate localisation for individual clinics and markets.
  • Take a digital-first and data-led approach to promotional planning, ensuring digital and addressable activation is considered from the outset alongside physical retail execution.
  • Work closely with Sales leaders and clinics to drive participation, resolve execution barriers, capture frontline feedback and continuously improve promotional effectiveness.

2. Local Area & Cluster Marketing

  • Own Audika’s local area marketing approach, developing repeatable frameworks and targeted programs that drive hearing tests and commercial growth at individual clinic and cluster level.
  • Use clinic performance, catchment opportunity, local insight and Retail priorities to identify clinics, clusters and markets requiring additional marketing support or growth intervention.
  • Develop integrated cluster marketing plans across relevant retail, digital, community and offline touchpoints, tailored to local market conditions and opportunities.
  • Develop relationships and activation opportunities with Westfield and other shopping centre partners, local businesses, community organisations, events and relevant strategic, referral or affinity partners.
  • Create practical local area marketing toolkits, guardrails and processes that enable clinics and Retail teams to activate effectively while maintaining brand consistency and governance.
  • Work with channel owners to activate the appropriate digital, CRM and media response for priority local markets.
  • Measure local activity and identify successful initiatives that can be repeated or scaled across other clinics and clusters.

3. New Clinic Openings

  • Own the marketing activation plan for new clinic openings, relocations and other significant clinic network changes in partnership with Retail and relevant business stakeholders.
  • Develop opening plans that build awareness and demand before launch, create momentum through the opening period and support sustained hearing test growth following launch.
  • Assess the local market, catchment, competitive environment and partnership opportunities to determine the appropriate activation mix for each new clinic.
  • Coordinate clinic branding, local marketing, community activity, partnerships, promotional offers and supporting digital and addressable activation with the relevant specialist teams.
  • Ensure new clinics are equipped with the required marketing materials, local assets, launch toolkits and stakeholder communications for effective execution.
  • Establish launch KPIs and post-opening reviews to understand performance, capture learnings and continuously improve the new-clinic marketing playbook.

4. Commercial Performance, Insights & Optimisation

  • Establish clear KPIs and measurement frameworks across retail promotions, local area marketing, new clinic openings and partnerships, with a focus on incremental leads, hearing tests, attendance, customer conversion and commercial outcomes.
  • Work with Business Intelligence and Analytics to assess performance by clinic, cluster, promotion, opening, partnership and channel and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Use data and insight to identify where retail marketing investment and activity can have the greatest impact across the clinic network.

Apply test-and-learn principles to promotional mechanics, offers, local activation, partnerships and

  • channel mix, using results to continuously improve future activity.
  • Provide regular performance reporting, insights and recommendations to Marketing and Retail stakeholders, moving beyond activity reporting to explain what happened, why it happened and what should happen next.
  • Identify successful programs and develop plans to replicate or scale them across the network where appropriate.

5. Budget, Supplier & Stakeholder Management

  • Coordinate the operational delivery of promotional campaigns with internal channel owners and external agencies, ensuring clear responsibilities for asset delivery, campaign setup, tracking, reporting and quality assurance.
  • Manage relevant trade marketing, local area marketing, new clinic opening and partnership budgets, ensuring investment is prioritised to the highest-value opportunities and accurately tracked.

  • Build strong working relationships across Digital Marketing, Prospect Growth & CRM, CRM Operations, Brand, Contact Centre, Analytics and other relevant teams to coordinate integrated activation without duplicating specialist channel ownership.
