Senior Financial Analyst - Marketing and Sales

Scope

Reporting directly to the Manager, FP&A, the Senior Financial Analyst will take on responsibilities on analyzing and reporting on our revenue streams for our Canadian HearingLife Business. This role will be a key partner to the Manager in providing support to the analysis of various segments within the organization with focus on sales, product mix and market trends. This role will allow the successful candidate to apply their existing financial knowledge, learn new functions, and develop their Finance and Business Acumen.    

Responsibilities

  • Lead the preparation of financial models to support a variety of business functions:
    • Sales (identify sales trends, patterns and anomalies and providing actionable insights to management)
    • Product Mix (analyze average selling prices across business segments, 3rd party and private pay distributions, product performance)
    • Market Trending (comparative analysis against competitive markets)
    • Marketing Support
  • Support updates to Pricing of new and existing products
  • Support financial segmentation analysis – responsible for Clinic/Region/Division level performance and value add business performance reporting
  • Prepare and coordinate ad hoc analysis on various business objectives
  • Assist with preparing and developing reporting packages to key stakeholders and enhancing revenue tracking systems while ensuring accuracy and integrity of financial data
  • Support development of the Finance Dashboards and integration with the Operations Dashboards
    • Daily Dashboards
    • Monthly Segmentation Dashboard
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with other key stakeholders in the organization
    • Expectation to work with sales and marketing team to understand pricing strategies, promotions and product performance
  • Business reviews with operational stakeholders
  • Responsible for managing and modifying reporting tracker as reporting requirements evolve
  • Proactively identify areas of concern, challenge the status quo and discuss efficient process changes to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial information
  • Support regular monthly/weekly FPA reporting functions
  • Assist in drafting process documentation
  • Ad hoc reporting and analysis where required

Knowledge & Skills

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel
  • Knowledge of Navision, Access, project management tools (Asana, Confluence) and other extraction/automation tools an asset
  • Knowledge of BI Application, SQL, Dealing with Data and automation an asset
  • Strong communication & problem solving skills
  • Strong analytical skills, self-motivated, proactive, results oriented, creative

Education & Experience

  • University Degree in Business or Finance
  • 2-3 years progressive accounting experience with experience with product analysis
  • CPA/CFA enrollment is an asset, however not required
