Senior Business Development Manager - Acquisitions

The Role

We are an organization that helps improve the quality of life for thousands of Canadians and Clients worldwide.  We are looking for an ambitious and energetic Senior Business Development Manager to help us expand our footprint in Canada through acquisitions.  This is an exciting role and will allow you to be a part of a growing organization well positioned as best in class.    Ideally, we would love to partner with someone who has experience working in the hearing healthcare industry and who has connections within the hearing care community.   This role is best suited to a passionate individual, who cares about what they do, and takes ownership of their responsibilities.  If this sounds like you, we would love to explore the options further.

How you will make an impact:

Reporting directly to the Director of Acquisitions & Integrations the Senior Business Development Manager – Acquisitions will create and foster relationships with independent existing hearing care businesses who have a desire to align with a like minded, experienced, capable, purchaser.  You will instill confidence and promote the reasons why HearingLife is the best choice in all aspects of the acquisitions and integration journey!  You will also work very closely with the VP of Finance and Business Development and act as strategic partner to our local business leaders.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing a robust network & pipeline of relationships withing the Hearing Health Care industry and identify potential partners looking to work together 
  • Conducting research and leverage tools to identify opportunities and engage and include all pertinent information into CRM
  • Continue to develop our best in class playbook on how to best foster successful acquisitions, starting with engagement 
  • Gather all requirements from both client and business and act as liaison between our organizations.
  • Arranging and attending  business meetings with prospective leads, take notes, understand nuances and circumstance, and work with partners for their near, medium, and long term ambitions
  • Promotion our HearingLife brand and how our portfolio of solutions and ability to be flexible makes us best in class.  Act as a brand ambassador for not only just HearingLife but for the Hearing Health Care community 
  • Develop a social media strategy and presence, highlighting our businesses unique value proposition in the market and celebrate successes of new partners choosing to partner with HearingLife! 
  • Building relationships with new and existing customers 
  • Effectively negotiate and come to mutual wins for both our business and our partners
  • Develop acquisition process acumen and expand knowledge of process to best be effective in our dealings with partners 

What you will need

  • Proven working experience as a business development manager, sales executive or a relevant role 
  • Proven record of negotiating and coming to winning outcomes
  • Experience in customer support is a plus
  • Hearing Care industry knowledge a strong asset, specifically in the Wholesale community
  • Communication and negotiation skills 
  • Ability to build rapport 
  • Time management and planning skills 
  • BSc/BA in business administration, sales or relevant field
