Responsibilities
Autonomy: The position gives great latitude in being able to make decisions (rescheduling, additional testing requests, vehicle/test unit issues diagnosis)
Client Service: As the front facing primary contact for the company, you will be an ambassador of the HL brand and conduct yourself in a professional manor, and work with the clients to ensure all testing is complete before leaving the location
Financial Accountability: Booking accommodations when necessary within budget, documenting mileage of testing unit to and from the jobsites
Knowledge & Skills:
Education & Training: Must possess the Industrial Audiometric Technicians course through BCIT(OCHS 3330) and re-certification as required, valid drivers license and able to safely drive and park a truck and trailer unit (47ft total length)
Previous Experience: Customer Service
Problem Solving & Innovation: Inspect vehicle for need of repairs, monitor fuel levels, tire wear, basic understanding of electronics, able to problem solve equipment
Job Specific Knowledge – Obtain BCIT IAT Course, use of automated audiometers and follow all WSBC protocols for interpretation of results language, paperwork and data entry for WSBC portal

Working Conditions
Physical Effort: Able to sit and stand at regular intervals in testing unit
Mental and Sensory: pay attention to details to provide counselling on the test results Impact of Decisions: being the face of the company, conduct in a professional manner and adhere to learned aspects of the position
Work Environment: work independently in quiet environment, temperature range varies due to remote onsite locations -testing units are equipped with A/C and heating units
Business Travel: Extensive travel in province of BC, with local focus in Thompson Okanagan. Work on 24 hour schedule, to accommodate shift work (days, afternoons, night shifts). Occasional weekend and overnight stays with travel to remote camps including driving the testing unit to sites and/or helicopter, boat to site.
