Test System Developer - shape the future of hardware verification


Join us in developing next-generation automated test systems that ensure the quality,reliability, and performance of our hearing healthcare devices.


You’ll work closely with Electronics Engineers and cross-functional partners such as Software Engineers and Hardware Engineers to deliver scalable testing that enableseffective verification & validation (V&V) performance.

The focus of this job is to improve the quality and reliability of our Device Hardware TestSoftware and Test Systems by driving better V&V and product confidence. We use Scrumas the daily approach to plan and execute the development.


As part of the job, you will:

  • Design, implement, and verify hardware-centric test solutions aligned with product and feature requirements.
  • Develop and maintain automated test systems throughout their lifecycle, from architecture and deployment to operation and continuous improvement.
  • Build test platforms for device hardware, including instrumentation, measurement and control, calibration, traceability, and data acquisition.
  • Integrate hardware and software through drivers, interfaces, and services that communicate with instruments, sensors, and devices under test.
  • Perform PCB bring-up, debugging, troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and validation of complex electronic systems.
  • Develop test strategies and high-quality software solutions using C#/.NET and Python, focusing on maintainability, scalability, and code quality.
  • Contribute to architecture, CI/CD, Agile delivery, technical documentation, and continuous improvement across test development and software quality practices.

You will join a team of three Test System Developers, combining deep domain expertise with fresh perspectives. Two team members have many years of experience with Demant’s products and test systems, while one colleague has recently completed onboarding. Supported by a dedicated Product Owner and a Scrum Master shared across agile teams, you will work in a collaborative environment that values knowledge sharing, continuous learning, and both personal and professional development. What we are looking for:


The job based in Smørum. It is important that you can start onsite from day one. With an inquisitive mindset you are motivated to continue learning. You consistently demonstrate careful attention to detail and a focus on high quality.

You come with:

  • A degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical discipline.
  • Extensive experience developing automated test systems and electronic test solutions across the product development lifecycle.
  • Strong electronics knowledge, including schematics, PCB interfaces, signal integrity, power distribution, grounding, hardware debugging, and V&V.
  • Hands-on experience with PCB bring-up, soldering, rework, prototype validation, and hardware root-cause analysis.
  • Practical experience with laboratory instruments and a solid understanding of measurement principles, calibration, uncertainty, and traceability.
  • Strong programming skills in C#/.NET and Python, along with experience using Visual Studio, Git, Azure DevOps, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience working in Agile environments and a solid understanding of software architecture, quality, testing, maintainability, and documentation.
