Student Assistant - Sustainable Procurement

Demant is looking for a motivated Student Assistant to support the advancement of our Sustainable Procurement agenda. In this role, you will contribute directly to strengthening ESG reporting, enabling data-driven sustainability decisions, and supporting supplier collaboration on decarbonization initiatives across our global supply base.
This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience at the intersection of procurement, sustaina-bility, and data – working closely with procurement professionals and key stakeholders across the organization.

The Role: Supporting Data-Driven Sustainable Procurement

As Student Assistant in Sustainable Procurement, you will support key initiatives within ESG reporting, supplier engagement, and decarbonization. You will contribute to building the data foundation and pro-cesses required to drive transparency and continuous improvement across our supplier base.
You will work closely with colleagues in Procurement Excellence, Strategic Procurement, and cross-functional teams to support structured and scalable sustainability efforts.

Key Areas of Responsibility

ESG Reporting & Data Management

  • Support ESG reporting processes related to Scope 3 emissions and Sustainable Procurement KPIs
  • Assist in consolidating and structuring sustainability data for internal and external reporting
  • Contribute to development and tracking of procurement-related ESG metrics

Supplier Engagement Programme

  • Support the rollout and continuous improvement of the Supplier Engagement Programme
  • Assist in preparing supplier communication, surveys, and follow-up activities
  • Contribute to evaluating supplier sustainability maturity and performance

Product Carbon Footprint (PCF) Data

  • Support the retrieval and validation of Product Carbon Footprint (PCF) data from suppliers
  • Assist in structuring and maintaining datasets to enable transparency on emissions at compo-nent level
  • Contribute to improving data quality and consistency across suppliers

Supplier Decarbonization Activities

  • Support joint activities with suppliers aimed at reducing emissions in their own operations and processes
  • Assist in identifying and tracking decarbonization initiatives and progress
  • Contribute to analysis of supplier-specific and category-level decarbonization levers

A Collaborative Role Across the Organization

You will support work across multiple stakeholders, including:
Procurement Excellence
Driving ESG reporting, governance, and process development
Strategic Procurement
Supporting supplier dialogue and sustainability integration into sourcing strategies
Supply Chain & Operations
Contributing to data collection and alignment on emissions and performance tracking

Your Profile

Professional Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree within Business, Engineering, Sustaina-bility, Supply Chain, ESG or similar
  • Strong interest in sustainability, decarbonization, and supply chain topics
  • Solid analytical skills with attention to detail
  • Experience with Excel and PowerPoint (Power BI is an advantage)
  • Fluent in English, written and spoken

  • Curious and motivated by working with data and sustainability topics
  • Strong collaborative mindset and ability to work across teams
  • Comfortable working both independently and in a structured environment

Practical Information

  • Location: Smørum, Denmark
  • Working hours: 15–25 hours per week with flexibility during exam periods
