Specialist, Diversity & Inclusion
We are looking for a Specialist, Diversity and Inclusion to support the implementation of Demants global Diversity and Inclusion ambition.
This role is ideal for someone early in their Diversity and Inclusion career, who has already gained some experience in the Diversity and Inclusion arena and is eager to learn, grow and contribute to a meaningful change.

As Specialist, Diversity and Inclusion, you will work closely with the Head of Diversity and Inclusion, HR colleagues globally, and our Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) to support a wide range of inclusion activities. You will play an important role in coordinating initiatives, creating practical resources, and enabling others to advance inclusion in their teams.
You will join a collaborative global team and gain hands-on experience in the field of Diversity and Inclusion, HR processes, facilitation, communications, and project coordination.
In this role, you will:
- Support and drive the rollout of Diversity and Inclusion initiatives and help coordinate global projects.
- Assist in developing practical tools, templates, and resources for leaders and teams.
- Help maintain and update the global Diversity and Inclusion SharePoint site.
- Support the design and deliver of content for leaders and employees. This can be connected to our global Leadership Compass (Belonging learning journey) or to general global HR processes.
- Support storytelling, internal campaigns, and Diversity and Inclusion communications.
- Review and advise on HR processes (recruitment, performance, promotion) to ensure fairness and inclusion.
- Collaborate with ERGs and HR colleagues globally, helping them drive local Diversity and Inclusion efforts.
- Help gather data, prepare materials, and track progress on key activities.
This role offers an opportunity to refine skills in stakeholder management, advisory, influencing, data analysis, executive communication, thought leadership, and the roll-out of large-scale, global projects.
First-Year Focus Areas
Given the current state of Demant’s Diversity and Inclusion efforts, the initial focus of this role will most likely include:
- Support the development of foundational Diversity and Inclusion frameworks and activities.
- Help establishing and supporting a global network of inclusion champions and employee resource groups or employee networks.
- Assist in reviewing global processes and systems to ensure fairness and accessibility.
What You Bring
We know the path into Diversity and Inclusion can look different for everyone. You may have worked in HR, communications, learning, project coordination, or directly in a Diversity and Inclusion team. However, some of the efforts around Diversity and Inclusion has been part of your work. So you most likely bring:
- Some experience working within diversity and inclusion projects
- Basic understanding of inclusion principles and systemic change.
- Curiosity and a collaborate mindset.
- Strong coordination and organisational skills
- Good communication skills and an interest in storytelling and internal engagement.
- Comfort using digital tools and managing content.
- Project management skills, with a collaborative approach.
- Maybe you have even tried out virtual facilitation and some content creation for learning.
- Proficiency in English.
Other Requirements
- Flexibility to attend virtual meetings across various time zones due to the global nature of the role.
- Occasional global travel may occur.
Location
This position is based in Smørum just outside Copenhagen. The position cannot be remote form other locations.
About our team
You will join the global Leadership & Organisational Development team, mainly based in Smørum (Denmark) and Szczecin (Poland), with close colleagues in Australia, US and Canada. You will report to the global Head of Diversity and Inclusion, based in Danmark.
