Senior Verification IC Engineer

Denmark
Smørum

Help verify the next generation of hearing aid SoCs

At Demant, we develop advanced custom chipsets powering hearing instruments from brands such as Oticon, Philips, and Bernafon. Our SoCs combine audio processing, AI, wireless connectivity, ARM-based subsystems, machine learning acceleration, and advanced power management in highly optimized low-power designs.

We are looking for an experienced Senior Digital IC Verification Engineer to join our chipset development team and help ensure the quality of future silicon platforms.

This role combines hands-on verification of advanced SoC designs with formal verification, adoption of generative AI-assisted engineering workflows, and technical leadership within the verification team.

The role

As part of a multidisciplinary engineering organization, you will work closely with RTL designers, architects, firmware developers, and fellow verification engineers throughout the development cycle.

You will define and execute verification strategies for digital IPs, subsystems, and SoCs using a combination of simulation-based and formal verification techniques. Your work will include verification planning, development of UVM-based verification environments, constrained-random testing, coverage analysis, formal property development, and verification sign-off.

Our SoCs contain technologies such as custom DSP cores, ARM processors, machine learning accelerators, Network-on-Chip (NoC) infrastructure, wireless communication, audio signal processing, and advanced power management.

As a senior member of the team, you will be expected to take ownership of complex verification challenges, drive activities from planning through sign-off, and contribute to the continuous development of verification methodologies and best practices. You will also help develop less experienced engineers through mentoring, technical guidance, and knowledge sharing.

We are actively exploring and adopting generative AI technologies to improve engineering productivity, automation, and verification quality. You will have the opportunity to help shape how these technologies are applied within our verification flows and development processes.

Your background

You have a strong track record in digital IC verification and are comfortable working independently while collaborating effectively across disciplines.

You are experienced with SystemVerilog, UVM, simulation-based verification, and scripting for automation. Experience with formal verification is important, as formal techniques are an integral part of our verification strategy. Experience with SoC-level verification, coverage-driven verification, Verilog and/or VHDL, and Python-based automation is highly desirable.

Beyond your technical capabilities, you enjoy sharing knowledge, reviewing technical solutions, and helping others succeed. You are comfortable mentoring junior engineers, driving technical discussions, and contributing to the long-term development of the team.

Why join us?

You will become part of a highly skilled chipset organization with end-to-end IC development capabilities spanning digital design, analog design, verification, firmware, physical implementation, and test engineering.

We offer:

  • Challenging technical work on advanced low-power SoCs
  • A verification strategy that combines simulation and formal methods
  • Opportunities to influence methodology, tools, and engineering practices
  • A collaborative environment with experienced IC development specialists
  • The ability to mentor and help grow the next generation of engineers
  • The opportunity to work on products that improve the lives of millions of people worldwide

Ready to take the next step and join the team?
