Welcome to Systems Engineering, Requirements & Verification (SERV)

SERV brings together process, requirements and verification specialists, developers and analysts, working across our sites in Denmark and Poland. We work alongside the teams we support, on the problems they have.

Our ambition is to strengthen Systems Engineering across R&D: Clearer requirements, stronger verification practices, better use of engineering data, and digital support that people want to use rather than have to use. In practice that means working closely with requirements engineers, test managers, architects, developers, product teams and quality specialists.

We take the work seriously — the quality, the deadlines, what we deliver to our users. The tone here is informal, and we reach our ambitious goals together, with a good deal of energy and fun along the way.

You would be based at our Demant HQ in Smørum, close to Copenhagen.

Strengthening Systems Engineering across R&D

Your primary focus is the Systems Engineering approach itself: how requirements, architecture, verification and quality connect across R&D, and how that approach is described, improved, and adopted by the teams who work with it.

Verification Management is your second focus. You will help teams build verification practices that work, and strengthen the link between requirements, verification, traceability and product quality. Because our products are regulated medical devices, that evidence must stand up to an audit as well as to engineering scrutiny, and part of the job is making those constraints practical rather than burdensome.

Defect Management is the third. You will help teams turn defect data into learning: how defects are classified and analyzed, what the trends are telling us, and how that feeds back into requirements and verification so the same issues stop coming back.

Alongside that, you will:

• Drive the effective use of engineering data by supporting the rollout and continuous improvement of IBM ELM, including DOORS Next Generation, strengthening requirements and traceability practices, and building analytics and reporting that teams can act on.
• Build engineering capability through guidance, training, workshops and hands-on collaboration, while exploring where AI and automation can take the repetitive work out of engineering workflows.
• Work across R&D and Quality, translating Systems Engineering practice into ways of working that teams can actually use.

What You Bring

You hold a bachelor's or master's degree in Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related engineering field. You bring at least 5 years of experience from engineering, quality, or product development environments, with a solid understanding of Systems Engineering — enough to have formed your own view of what good practice looks like. Experience within requirement engineering, verification, test management, or defect management is particularly relevant.

You have an analytical mindset and enjoy turning data, process observations, and user feedback into meaningful improvements. You are comfortable working across disciplines and communicating with both engineering specialists and broader teams.

Experience with IBM ELM, including DOORS Next Generation, or similar engineering tools is an advantage, as is experience with Power BI or comparable analytics tools, and with data-driven process improvement and automation.

As a person, you are structured, collaborative, and pragmatic. You enjoy understanding complex engineering challenges and turning them into practical solutions. You are comfortable moving between strategic process development and hands-on support, and you can explain not only what teams should do, but why it matters.

Most importantly, you are motivated by improving the way engineering teams work and by helping build Systems Engineering capabilities that enable better products.

Recruitment Process
