Senior Product Owner
In this hybrid role, you will combine responsibilities as Product Owner for the GenAI Enabling Team with hands-on contribution as an active team member. The position is intentionally split between shaping priorities and delivering practical enablement, ensuring that strategy and execution stay closely connected.
The role requires the ability to understand and navigate challenges and see GenAI opportunities across highly diverse teams, spanning disciplines, processes, from early concepting to production.
Driving value through focus and hands-on enablement
You will become part of the GenAI Enabling Team, working closely with engineering teams, ARTs, leadership, and the central R&D AI organization.
The team will be in the Device Software (DSW) department within our R&D organization. DSW is responsible for developing, integrating, and delivering all software running on Demant’s hearing instruments and accessories, spanning audiology‑related software, embedded firmware, connectivity, shared platforms, quality‑critical processes, and large‑scale SAFe‑based delivery.
This team is launched as a new initiative, and your voice will matter from day one. You will help shape how we work, what we prioritize, and how we build a team that is valuable, visible, and attractive to both stakeholders and team members.
While you own and prioritize the team's backlog, you will also contribute directly to enablement activities such as use-case prototyping, coaching, and tool adoption.
Your key responsibilities
As Product Owner for the GenAI enabling team, you will:
· Own, manage, and prioritize the backlog of the GenAI Enabling Team.
· Identify organizational needs and translate them into clear, value-driven backlog items.
· Communicate priorities, direction, and expected value to relevant stakeholders.
· Ensure backlog items are ready for execution and aligned with AI enablement priorities.
· Help identify, prototype, and implement GenAI use cases that reduce time-to-complete or improve quality or effectiveness.
· Support context engineering, lightweight prototyping, and practical enablers for AI adoption.
· Coordinate with the central R&D AI organization and other enabling teams to align priorities and share learnings.
Your profile
We imagine that you have:
· Experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, or similar role involving prioritization and stakeholder alignment.
· Hands-on experience using generative AI tools in a professional engineering or knowledge-work context.
· Good understanding of generative AI adoption, including context engineering and practical workflow integration.
· Ability to assess organizational AI maturity and identify the most valuable next initiatives.
· Proven ability to work across teams and translate complex challenges into practical opportunities.
· Strong problem-solving skills and ability to connect real work challenges with AI-supported solutions.
· Experience working in agile environments and collaborating across teams without formal authority.
You will also be giving hands-on coaching, workshops, and practical support to teams adopting AI. It will be an advantage if you thrive with facilitating and have strong communication skills.
