Senior Mechanical Engineer

If micro-mechanical development, simulation on models, doing concepts and design in CAD, having state-of-the-art in-house tool shop makes your mind start wandering and think of innovative mechanical solutions, and if having fun at work makes you smile, then read on! We may just have the job for you. 

In the Device Hardware area, we are looking for a mechanical engineer to expand our team, who works with product development using cutting-edge facilities within prototyping, design facilities, reliability testing, tool manufacturing and production technologies with the goal of developing hearing instruments with a focus on hardware.

Mechanical engineer with solid basic skills and evidence of deliveries
 You have a degree in mechanical engineering or similar and some years’ experience in an R&D setup. You have previously worked in PTC Creo 3D CAD or similar tools with construction. You worked with skeleton modelling.

 Besides this, you know robust design techniques (Tolerance stack-up, what-guides-what, Design for Manufacturing DFM, Design for Assembly DFA), and how to design parts made with injection molding.

 You may also be able to check one or more of the below: 

• ME integration of electronics design (PCB, connectors, batteries, radios etc.)
• GPS and 2D specifications
• Mechanical simulation

No matter which of our mechanical teams you join, you will do micro-mechanical development; you get to do concepts and construction work in CAD, make prototypes in our tool shop, simulate on models, and evaluate solutions with your colleagues. And of course, get to follow your product all the way to realization and production in Poland or overseas.

 You can dig deep and spare with people but also see the broader perspective. That could mean guiding mechanical developers and supporting the planning of the daily activities or planning and implementing design work, specifications, design reviews and documentation.

As a mechanical developer, you might also play a role in enhancing the skills within our department.

That could be: 

• Defining and adjusting internal processes with mechanical development
• Contribute to the competence for the ME domain
• Ensure knowledge sharing among developers

You can expect 6-10 travel days a year, visiting suppliers and our production site in Poland. #LI-CC1  #LI-HYBRID

 If you are not familiar with agile working methods already, don’t worry, training in agile ways of working is offered to all by our dedicated team of internal trainers, but you should have an interest in learning to work in the agile framework.
