Senior Manager, Audiological Solutions

The area
You will become part of the Audiological Solutions group, a part of the R&D unit Device Software. This group is responsible for innovating, designing and developing all audiological solutions of our hearing aid products.
Referring to the Director, Audiological Solutions, you will have responsibility for developers in 2 to 3 separate scrum teams with a focus on audiological system development and digital signal processing algorithms. The teams are responsible for the system, algorithms and software which determines the sound quality of the hearing instruments and consists of various competences including Audiological Systems Engineers, Digital Signal Processing engineers, embedded SW engineers, clinical Audiologists, data scientists and test developers.
You will be a part of a leadership team together with Line Managers, Scrum Masters and Product Owners. The collaboration in the leadership team is fundamental to our goal of making great products as efficiently as possible and making Audiological Solutions a fantastic place to work.
The job
The developers in the team are responsible for developing audiological solutions for all Demant hearing instruments. The developers are part of a SAFe Agile release train (ART), organized in self-governing scrum teams with product owners, who manage the team backlog, and scrum master/team coaches who facilitate the team progress towards the goal. As Senior manager you will work with other SAFe roles to identify areas of improvement, make development more efficient, improve processes and grow the organization.
Your main responsibilities:
- Develop highly skilled individuals providing mentorship, coaching, feedback and guidance to ensure their professional growth
- Contribute to a great leadership team centered around audiological solutions
- Support and execute strategic initiatives including where and how to drive organizational growth
- Promote innovation and continuous improvement by developing, optimizing and maintaining efficient processes
- Stay informed on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies relevant to the area
- Collaborate with leadership to remove obstacles for the teams and enhance workflow efficiency

Personal qualifications
You have documented experience with managing and developing highly skilled and specialized teams in an R&D setting. You have great leadership skills and are an inspiring communicator. You are excited about developing people, teams, and the context they are in, focusing on empowering teams and the individual.
You have an interest and preferably experience in being part of developing the organization and how we work together, facilitating a culture of continuous improvement and growth. You inspire followership in your interactions with stakeholders and see yourself as a team player. Most likely you hold a MSc in Engineering or similar with domain knowledge for the teams you will lead. You are fluent in English both written and spoken, as it is our company language.
