Senior Commercial Research Audiologist
Senior Commercial Research Audiologist - Shape how innovative audiology solutions reach the market
Do you thrive on turning cutting-edge audiological research into solutions that work in everyday settings? Do you thrive at the intersection of science, product, and commercial strategy?
We are looking for a Senior Commercial Research Audiologist to take a key role in bringing new audiology innovations to market across multiple brands. You will lead essential workstreams in this position, guide product and go-to-market choices, and make sure clinical evidence becomes clear, credible, claim-safe, and compelling messaging for hearing care professionals and people with hearing loss.
Your focus
As a highly experienced and trusted professional and subject matter expert, you will:
- Lead commercial audiology deliverables for selected releases/initiatives (e.g., launch evidence package, fitting guidance and recommendations, counselling needs), ensuring quality, the right timing, and stakeholder alignment.
- Translate complex audiological solutions and clinical evidence into clear, differentiated messaging, supporting multiple unique brands.
- Shape product and feature development by contributing audiology insight in early discovery, concept, and ecosystem design (features, fitting tools, accessories, user journeys).
- Help drive need, scope, and prioritization of research activities, from proof-of-concept studies to commercial evidence generation, ensuring solid methodology and clear outcomes.
- Act as a senior representative of Commercial Audiology, collaborating across functions and stepping into a role of added responsibility when needed. This could mean external representation, acting as brand audiology representative towards selected key accounts, customers, KOL interactions, and scientific/commercial channels.
Depending on your motivation and experience, you may also:
- Lead and develop a small team of Commercial/Clinical Research Audiologists and/or students, providing direction, coaching, and prioritization.
The team
The Commercial Audiology team within Demant Brand Management currently consists of five full-time employees, two graduates, two interns, and a student assistant. We value a supportive, transparent, and genuine team culture with humor, cultural awareness, and bright ideas that motivate us as a team.
You will refer to Susanna Løve, Global Director of Commercial Audiology. Susanna has an authentic leadership style with high transparency. She is also someone with opinions, and she values having her views challenged in constructive discussions. Susanna emphasizes psychological safety, care for each team member’s needs and life circumstances, praise whenever warranted, and celebration when the time is right.
Your skillset
We are looking for a profile combining scientific depth with a commercial mindset:
- Audiology experience – MSc or higher in Audiology, ideally with clinical experience.
- 7–10 years of experience in commercial or clinical audiology, research translation, or product-related roles.
- Applied research excellence – able to design, oversee, interpret, and translate studies and data into actionable insights.
- Effective communication skills – simplifying complex data into clear, credible, and claim-compliant messages.
- Effective stakeholder management – experienced navigating a global, matrix organization and collaborating across teams without formal authority.
- Structured execution – experienced in managing timelines, dependencies, and priorities across functions.
- Leader by nature – able to guide, coach, and set direction for others.
- Well-developed English communication skills across written and spoken formats, plus the ability to present clearly to internal teams and select outside groups.
Who you are
You bring both experience and personality to the role:
- Steady and reliable, especially in busy launch environments.
- Pragmatic and solution-oriented, balancing scientific rigor with business needs.
- Strategic and structured, able to see the bigger picture and prioritize effectively.
- Highly curious (“nerdy”), with a genuine interest in deep audiological topics.
- Emotionally intelligent, building trust and navigating stakeholder dynamics with ease.
- A trusted sparring partner, constructively challenging to improve outcomes.
- Positive and collaborative, contributing to an engaging and productive team culture.
Why join us?
