Welcome to the Hardware Quality team
You will be part of our Hardware Quality team of 8 skilled colleagues. We are part of Product Quality in the Quality Organization in the Hearing Instrument Group (HIG). The Quality function consists of 200+ colleagues globally, and we are responsible for Quality and Regulatory for our biggest brands, like Oticon, Bernafon and Philips.
“We are a good mix of different educational and international backgrounds in our team. Some are project managers, and some are specialists. We are good at sharing knowledge and supporting each other, and equally important, we have fun together. The tone is friendly and informal, and we do a lot of things together, also outside work.” says your new manager Jérémy Liely with a smile.
Ensure best-in-class hardware quality for medical devices
You will be an integral part of multidisciplinary development teams creating future hearing solutions, and you will coordinate a team of quality specialists assigned to your projects. You will own the product quality strategy for new hearing aid platforms, ensuring that products meet customer expectations, reliability targets, and regulatory requirements throughout development and industrialization.
“Your role is to ensure that our products can endure the world and all the everyday challenges they will be exposed to,” says Jérémy and continues, “You will define and challenge reliability requirements related to mechanical robustness, environmental exposure, user handling, sweat and earwax resistance, charging performance, and long-term product reliability.”
In your role, you will make sure that our hardware platforms fulfil users’ expectations for high quality as well as regulatory requirements. Your daily work will be supported by modern methods, equipment, and laboratories. To support the business and organization globally, you can expect 10–15 days of travel per year.
As a Project Manager, Hardware Product Quality, you will work closely with the R&D and Manufacturing teams to identify and address any quality issues throughout the product development and manufacturing process.
We will provide you with a wide portfolio of interesting and exciting projects and tasks in which your focus will be among others:
- Leading a virtual team of quality specialists in a matrix organization and planning their activities
- Driving quality governance and quality status reviews
- Facilitating and challenging risk assessments throughout product development
- Supporting continuous improvement in our SAFe-based hardware development setup, working closely with peers, agile teams, and shared services
Project manager with technical skills
We imagine that you have a degree in engineering or similar relevant background.
Maybe you have spent your first years in an R&D function, and now you are looking towards developing your project management skills, or you already have some years’ experience in the field. What’s important is your interest in project management, and a technical understanding of mechanics, materials and failure mechanisms is required.
Experience within electronics, materials science, manufacturing technologies, or hardware development is an advantage. Experience with SAFe or other agile development frameworks is also an advantage, as we use SAFe in our hardware development setup.
From a personal perspective, we are looking for a person who thrives on actively driving work processes forward. You consider yourself a person with strong analytical skills, enabling you to quickly break down technical issues and processes. Furthermore, you can communicate results to decision-makers in a simple and efficient way. You are open-minded and like to work with teams of skilled and enthusiastic people in a friendly international environment.
