Principal UX Domain Architect

Denmark
Smørum

Would you like a career where you contribute to the quality of life for people worldwide? Then enter the Demant universe, where we create market-leading hearing care solutions that improve people’s lives. In R&D, we are elevating User Experience (UX) to become a clearer, earlier, and more connected discipline across products and platforms.

If you are passionate about creating coherent, customer-centric product experiences and shaping how UX strategy becomes reality across a complex product landscape, this might be the ideal role for you. As Principal UX Domain Architect, you will bridge UX strategy and execution across R&D, helping ensure consistent, intuitive, and high-quality experiences from early strategic direction to released products.

The Role

The role is anchored in the Architect Group in R&D Excellence and Technology. As Principal UX Domain Architect, you will be responsible for UX integrity across products and across HW and SW platforms. You will work closely with our existing three LUXCEs (Lean UX Center of Excellence). You will connect Experience Planning in Portfolio Management and Enterprise Architecture with implementation in ARTs (Agile Release Trains). Ensuring that strategic intentions are translated into coherent UX principles, standards, architecture runway, and measurable outcomes.

Your primary tasks are:

  • Collaborate with Experience Planning and Enterprise Architects to provide UX input to Architecture Visions and Strategic Themes.
  • Help anchor solutions in customer and user value early, so decisions can be de-risked sooner and aligned across teams.
  • Define and maintain shared UX principles, priorities, and a UX architecture runway that supports consistent cross-platform experiences.
  • Support Epic definition and ensure that UX needs are reflected in enablers, acceptance criteria, and non-functional requirements.
  • Work closely with Lean UX Center of Excellence leads and other UX stakeholders to shape standards, governance, and built-in UX quality.
  • Establish meaningful UX metrics and use them to define success, support continuous improvement, and escalate significant UX risks when needed.

Technical Background

We expect you to have a relevant academic background within design, engineering, human-computer interaction, psychology, digital product development, or a similar field, combined with substantial experience working strategically with UX in complex product organizations. You are comfortable operating at the intersection of customer value, product strategy, architecture, and execution.

Ideally, you have experience with cross-platform product ecosystems, governance models, and large-scale development frameworks such as SAFe. You know how to work with ambiguity, align stakeholders across organizational boundaries, and turn high-level ambitions into concrete architectural direction, standards, and decision support for teams.

Good interpersonal and communication skills

You enjoy working across disciplines and collaborating with stakeholders from all parts of a large organization. You understand that great architecture is created through dialogue, clarity, and alignment—not in isolation. You, can frame complex UX challenges at the right level, influence without formal authority, and communicate clearly with both specialists and decision-makers.

We believe in the good life

As a company, we trust and value your professionalism, experience, and commitment. Your perspectives, insights, and ideas are an important part of our growth, and we encourage you to take initiative and shape your work with a high degree of ownership.

You will be part of a growing international company with rich opportunities for professional and personal development. We offer a collaborative environment built on trust and openness, where you can help shape tomorrow’s solutions while maintaining a healthy work-life balance.
