Microsoft D365 CE Functional Consultant - Global IT
To support our ambitious business strategy, we are transforming our global digital landscape. Over the next 6–8 years, we will replace more than 100 business applications and implement Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations and Customer Engagement across 25 countries.
As a Functional Consultant, you'll become part of one of Demant's largest and most strategic transformation programs, helping shape the global D365 CE platform that will support our Hearing Care business for years to come. This is a unique opportunity to influence the future solution and backbone of our business at true enterprise scale, while seeing your work create value for colleagues—and ultimately for millions of hearing care customers worldwide.
Your role
You'll join a transformation program of around 90 specialists, working alongside Product Owners, Architects, Developers, Functional Consultants, UX specialists and business stakeholders. Together, we're building a scalable global platform and continuously onboarding new countries. Your focus will be to understand business needs, design and configure robust D365 CE solutions, and ensure high-quality deliveries that can be reused across markets.
Our current scope within D365 CE includes Marketing, Sales & Customer Service, Universal Resource Scheduling, Contact Center, and Teams Dialer. In addition, we build and integrate with a reimbursement solution, D365 Finance & Operations, PIM and other backend solutions.
What you'll do
You'll be involved throughout the entire solution lifecycle—from the first workshop to successful onboarding of markets. You'll collaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts and Solution Architects to understand business challenges and demonstrate how standard D365 CE functionality can support them. Furthermore, you will:
- Transform business needs into scalable design specifications, prepare features and user stories for development
- Configure the platform with a good focus on using standard capabilities whenever possible.
- Test and document your work, demonstrate new functionality to colleagues and stakeholders, and continuously look for opportunities to improve the solution.
- Keep ajour on Microsoft's upcoming releases, share knowledge with your team and help ensure our platform remain reliable, scalable and well performing.
You won't be doing this alone. You'll become part of one of our cross-functional product teams, working closely with other Functional Consultants to build end-to-end capabilities that support our global business. We deliver through agile delivery trains, designing for global and specifying and delivering in increments.
Your team
You'll report to the IT Director, Head of Customer Engagement, and join the Global Customer Engagement team within Hearing Care IT, a collaborative team of Business Analysts, Functional Consultants, Solution Architects, Scrum Masters and UX specialists. Most of the team is based at our Demant headquarters in Smørum, where we enjoy working closely together while offering flexibility to work from home according to company policy. This role will also be based in Smørum.
The role includes approximately 10–15 travel days each year, typically when collaborating with colleagues and business stakeholders across our international markets.
What you bring
You have practical experience configuring Microsoft Dynamics 365 CE and you understand what it takes to deliver successful CRM implementations in complex business environments. Whether your expertise mainly lies within Marketing, Sales, Customer Service or Contact Center, you're motivated by building solutions that balance business value, quality and speed to market.
You enjoy uncovering and converting business needs to D365 CE enabled processes, and you understand how end-to-end business processes come together across the Microsoft ecosystem. Finally, you are comfortable working with technologies such as Dataverse, Power Platform and Azure.
Understanding cloud infrastructure, Azure DevOps, deployment pipelines and customer care solutions is an advantage, just as experience from global or multi-country implementations.
Just as important; you're someone who enjoys solving problems together with others. You communicate well, take ownership of your work and believe that best solutions are found through collaboration.
