Manager, M&A and Integration

Denmark
Smørum

Join Demant’s M&A team and take part in a growth-driven journey focused on global acquisitions and strategic initiatives that advance our mission to assist people with hearing loss.

As a member of the M&A team, you will participate in the full acquisition lifecycle while continuing to lead and support strategic projects that shape the ongoing growth and transformation of the Demant Group. We manage complex, high‑impact transactions and organic development projects at group level, while also supporting the steady flow of local acquisitions across our markets.

The role may be scoped at Director level, depending on the experience you bring.

End‑to‑end responsibility in a global role
You will join a small, dynamic M&A team with close exposure to top management and direct interaction with stakeholders across the global Demant organisation. The role involves significant international engagement, handling acquisitions, and initiatives that cover many regions and markets around the world.

No two days are ever alike in our team. With a consistently high deal flow, you will work on everything from single retail acquisitions to large international transactions. Some processes move fast with full end‑to‑end responsibility, while larger deals require close collaboration across teams and functions over several months,” says Rasmus Søndergaard Møller, Vice President, Sales, Hearing Care.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Manage M&A processes end to end, including due diligence, valuation, negotiation and structuring – both locally and globally
  • Supporting the integration of acquired companies into Demant’s corporate structure and processes
  • Collaborating with the global organisation to attract and retain strategic customers through financial support arrangements
  • Preparing and presenting acquisition cases to Demant’s management team
  • Managing portfolios of local entities, including governance and transaction pipeline management
  • Developing financial models and robust business cases
  • Conducting market and competitor analyses

The team supports activities across more than 30 countries. Approximately 10-15 travel days per year should be expected, primarily within Europe and North America.

Stakeholder management is key

This role offers a unique opportunity to gain broad international exposure by working on M&A projects across diverse markets and cultures. You will be closely involved throughout the entire process – from early opportunity identification through closing, integration and post‑acquisition follow‑up. The position reports to the Vice President, M&A & Integration.

Do you see the match?

You are motivated by a career within business strategy and management, with experience from corporate finance, management consulting, or an international organisation where your focus has been on business development, strategy or M&A.

We expect that you bring:

  • Several years of experience within M&A, corporate finance, business development or business strategy
  • Advanced analytical capabilities combined with solid stakeholder management skills
  • Demonstrated experience developing business cases and delivering presentations, with financial modeling experience considered beneficial
  • A relevant degree in strategy, finance, accounting or business (e.g. cand.merc., cand.oecon. or similar)

In order to thrive in this role, you are motivated, take initiative when needed, and are comfortable engaging across a complex, global organization with many interfaces and stakeholders. You build trust easily, act with high integrity, and take a structured and systematic approach to your work.
