Junior Embedded C developer - Connectivity and Embedded Systems
Contribute to the development of future connectivity solutions for hearing technologies
Join us and work with modern embedded platforms that help connect hearing instruments to the digital world. Reliable, efficient, and intelligent software is key to enabling people with hearing loss to participate fully in everyday life — whether streaming audio, connecting to external devices, or interacting with surrounding systems.
We are looking for an embedded software developer to join our team near Copenhagen and help build robust, high-quality solutions across our embedded platform.
Join our team
In our team, you will work on embedded software that forms the foundation of connectivity features in our hearing instruments. The work spans across embedded applications, low-level drivers, and automated test pipelines, including BLE for communication with mobile devices and external accessories.
Most of our codebase is written in C, using the open-source platform Zephyr. You will be part of a team combining experienced and early career engineers, with a strong focus on collaboration, code reviews, and knowledge sharing. You will be working in a large-scale development setup involving multiple teams, giving you exposure to system-level design and modern development practices.
You will collaborate closely with hardware engineers, other embedded teams, and application developers to ensure seamless end-to-end functionality. Together, we are responsible for delivering a complete, high-performance embedded solution in a complex and rewarding technical domain.
Ready to use your skills?
We welcome junior candidates with a strong foundation in embedded development from studies and possibly a few years of work in the industry. Knowledge in relevant domains is necessary, but curiosity, willingness to learn, and strong collaboration skills are also important.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain embedded software components across the embedded stack
- Design, implement, and optimize low-level and system-level functionality in C
- Build and maintain unit tests and automated test pipelines
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate and validate system features
- Debug and resolve issues in complex embedded environments
- Optimize software for performance, reliability, and power efficiency
- Work with internal and external stakeholders on interfaces and integrations
- Contribute to continuous improvement of development processes and tools
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or similar
- Solid experience in C programming for embedded systems
- Experience with microcontrollers and real-time operating systems (RTOS)
- Experience with communication protocols (e.g., Bluetooth, SPI, I2C, UART) is a plus
- Understanding of embedded system architecture and debugging
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work in a collaborative and multidisciplinary team environment
