We are looking for a Junior Chipset Engineer to support our development teams by maintaining and troubleshooting chipset platforms, supporting internal users, and contributing to the development of new chipset test solutions.

Chipset is a key division within our Research & Development organization. We design and develop advanced integrated circuits and chipset platforms that power our world-leading hearing instruments and accessories.

Our commitment to technological excellence drives us to deliver professional-grade solutions in DSP processing, audio quality, connectivity, AI integration, and rechargeability, all in compact form factors with extremely low power consumption.

You will become part of a team of highly skilled engineers working across analog IC design, digital IC design, verification, test development, and system integration. Together, we create the technologies used in products from Oticon, Philips, Bernafon, and other leading hearing healthcare brands.

The Role

As a Junior Chipset Engineer, you will play an important role in both supporting our chipset development activities and contributing to the development of the next generation of chipset test platforms.

You will act as a key point of contact for internal users of our chipset development platforms while also participating in hardware development activities under the guidance of experienced engineers.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Provide support for chipset hardware platforms and development boards.
• Prepare, maintain, and improve chipset boards and lab setups.
• Assist with schematic design and PCB layout of test boards.
• Contribute to the development of chipset test systems.
• Bring up, test, debug, new hardware designs.
• Perform soldering and rework of prototype hardware.
• Document solutions, procedures, and designs in compliance with quality requirements.
• Collaborate with verification teams, as well as external suppliers.

This role offers a unique opportunity to gain broad exposure to chipset development, from practical laboratory work and user support to hardware design and test system development.

About You

You may have a background as an Electronics Technician, Laboratory Technician, Electrical Engineering Technician, or a recently graduated Electronics Engineer.

We imagine that you have:

• a solid understanding of electronics and electronic measurement techniques
• hands-on experience with laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, and logic analyzers
• an interest in hardware development, troubleshooting, and practical problem solving
• good documentation and communication skills
• a structured and service-minded approach to your work

Experience with any of the following would be an advantage:

• schematic capture and PCB layout tools such as Cadence or OrCAD
• prototype hardware debugging and bring-up
• soldering and rework of electronic assemblies
• automated test systems
• scripting or automation using Python
• Quality Management Systems (QMS)
