Director of Scrum Masters & Product Ownership
Are you a purpose-driven leader with a vision and a commitment to improve the lives of millions of people worldwide? Do you have experience leading teams in product development and through changes? Then read on!
Agile development is key for technological advancement at Demant. To continue our path of innovation, we are looking for a Director who can lead our Scrum Masters and Product Owners, promote a culture of agility, and support our Agile Release Train teams in delivering world-class hearing solutions.
Welcome to Device Hardware
Based in our headquarters in Smørum, you will lead a team of Scrum Masters and Product Owners, focusing on agile leadership and supporting the hardware teams in the organization.
In Device Hardware, you will get 300 new colleagues, primarily with an engineering background, who work every day to push the boundaries of technology to, in the end, help millions of people worldwide with hearing loss.
The SAFe delivery organization consists of Agile teams with different skills in Mechanics, Electro-acoustics, Electronics, and Usability. Together we deliver new product innovation and updates to existing products within the hearing solution space.
“This is quite a unique environment to be a part of. We have a good mix of colleagues who are fresh out of university with new ways of looking at things, and very experienced colleagues who have been with us for most of their career with a backpack full of knowledge, it creates a really good synergy” says Ulrik Heins Borgen, Senior Director, Project Excellence and continues; “Plus, we are all under one roof. So, if you have a question, you just get up, walk a few meters, and you have someone to aske right there.”
Direction and leadership
In this newly created position, your primary task will be to lead and develop the Scrum Masters and Product Owners in the delivery organization to ensure we deliver what we promise.
“You are joining at a really interesting time. As this is a new position, you will have significant influence in shaping the direction of both the role and the team, allowing you to leverage all your experience." Says Ulrik Heins Borgen.
We have recently transitioned into SAFe, which means you will lead change in the organization related to agile leadership and methodologies. You will play a key role in further developing and transforming our practices as we continue our SAFe ways of working.
The focus for this role is people management. Making sure that the managers in your team have the tools and skills to lead their teams. Many of the leaders in your team are new leaders, coming from roles as specialist/developers. You will guide them and support them in their new roles and together you will build up a team of leaders that makes a difference every day to our skilled engineers and specialists.
You will play a key role in guiding and transforming our agile organization to meet tomorrow’s challenges.
Experienced leader with change management skills
You have demonstrated your ability to effectively lead and manage other leaders.
You probably have an engineering background, or you have gained your leadership experience working in a product development environment.
In your career, you have guided teams through significant transformations and knows what it takes to guide people through and create a followership.
Because we have moved into SAFe, it’s great if you have already had experience working in the framework. If you are new to it, no worries, we will make sure you get the training needed in your onboarding.
You are good at building relationships and managing a variety of stakeholders both inside and outside the hardware organization. You communicate effectively and are good at providing and accepting feedback.
Welcome onboard!
