Clinical Research Audiologist (maternity cover)

Do you have an affinity for applied audiological research? Are you interested in delivering commercial claims to support one of Demant’s hearing aid brands? Would you like to gain experience in applying clinical data to marketing campaigns? Then we have a unique opportunity to join the Bernafon Clinical Audiology team on a 12 month contract.

In Clinical Audiology our primary goal is to support the Bernafon brand campaigns with attractive claims around our products and services. We do this via audiological research, technical and clinical testing of features in hearing aids. Your primary job will be to support our ongoing research and testing activities to collect product-related evidence. You will therefore supervise clinical trials to collect clinical evidence and conduct technical measurements.

In this role, you will work closely with the marketing and training teams, where you will represent Bernafon Audiology and ensure that evidence is valued and easy to understand. #LI-REMOTE #LI-CC1

Some of your general responsibilities include:

  • Demonstrate benefits of products through technical measurements and sound recordings
     
  • Collaborate, with marketing and training teams to bring technical audiology, studies and data to market.
  • Give input to and help define scope and, initiate and monitor clinical trials to be executed by external partners: define outcomes, prepare equipment & software for data collection….
     
  • Conduct or obtain data analysis.
  • Review marketing material: claims and audiologist input, where appropriate.
     
  • Ensure credibility of audiology matters in brand team and deliveries

To handle your future tasks, you have a master’s degree or PhD in a relevant professional area such as Audiology, Acoustics, Speech-, Language-, Hearing Pathology, Engineering, Neuroscience, Psychology, or Medicine.
You have a good understanding of the technology of hearing-aids and experience in technical evaluation of hearing aid features.

You will be working closely with audiologists, marketeers, and other researchers. You are pragmatic and solution oriented. You are structured and can document results of your experiments and measurements, or that of others, in an easy-to-understand manner.

You enjoy working in a team and you are therefore open and curious in your contacts with colleagues and external partners. Speaking and writing in English to many different audiences comes naturally to you.
