(Senior) Software Engineer – DSP Tools & Infrastructure
We’re looking for a (Senior) Software Engineer to join R&D Audiological Solutions at Demant. In this role, you’ll help build and maintain the internal tools that enable our developers to create world-leading audiological features.

Your Role
As a member of a focused team within R&D Audiological Solutions, you will work on the development and maintenance of essential internal tools and infrastructures. Your “customers” are your colleagues, developers and researchers who rely on your tools to work smarter and more efficiently.
We’re open to hearing from both new graduates and professionals experienced in the areas listed below. Your title will be adjusted according to your relevant experience.
Together with your team you will build and support tools and carry tasks such as:
- Frameworks for algorithm development, parameterization and integration.
- Test systems for validating audiological algorithms.
- Build tools for deploying features into products.
- Prototyping tools for hearing aid prescription, fitting and performance simulation.
- Sound studio tools for virtual sound scene exploration.
- Real-time hearing aid performance exploration tools.
- Wrappers and interfaces for external tools.
In addition to software development, you’ll also help maintain testing hardware and provide direct support to developers.

Your qualifications:
- A relevant degree e.g. in Electrical, Biomedical or Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a similar education.
- Experience with general programming in Matlab and/or Python.
- Understanding of good software development practices and tool architecture.
- Willingness to work and improve legacy code and existing workflows.
Valued skills include:
- Experience with DSP, audio processing, or acoustics.
- Familiarity with build tools (e.g., SCons, Make).
- Knowledge of version control and code review tools (e.g., Git, Gerrit).
- Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., TeamCity, Jenkins).
- Interest in software architecture and clean coding practices.
