Sr. Project Manager & Team Lead

Denmark
Middelfart

Are you passionate about leading people and projects? Do you thrive in a dynamic, global environment where cross-disciplinary collaboration drives innovation? Do you want to shape the future of New Product Development projects? If yes, then you might be our new Senior Project Manager & Team Lead in the Diagnostics Strategy & Project Portfolio Management team.

Lead and inspire in a global healthcare company
At Demant Diagnostics, we develop and deliver world-class solutions for hearing and balance assessment. Our products and services support the entire diagnostic journey – from early screening to advanced clinical assessment – and are trusted by professionals in more than 100 countries. You will join a global leader in hearing healthcare and become part of a collaborative, high-performing team that values innovation, excellence, and diversity.

A role where leadership meets execution
As Senior Project Manager & Team Lead, you will play a dual role:

  • Lead and develop a team of four New Product Development (NPD) Project Managers, fostering growth and collaboration.
  • Drive your own high-impact projects, setting the standard of delivery: on time, on budget, and to the highest quality standards.

You will be part of the Strategy & Project Portfolio Management leadership team (S&PPM), reporting directly to the Senior Director, S&PPM. This is a unique opportunity to strengthen project execution across the organization and enable our Diagnostics strategy.

Your key responsibilities

  • Leadership and coaching of your team of four NPD Project Managers to build strong project management competences and drive development of project leadership skills.
  • Manage your own NPD projects across global functions, ensuring compliance with regulatory and quality standards.
  • Drive project planning, risk management, and stakeholder alignment.
  • Collaborate with the Project Excellence function, contributing to driving continuous improvement in project management practices and tools.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, transparency, and proactive communication.

While you will provide leadership and development for the team, project managers primarily report to their project steering committees for project decisions. You will collaborate closely with the Senior Director and other leaders to set the direction for what good project management looks like.

What we are looking for a person with

  • Demonstrated people leadership skills and a track-record of developing people in a time of transformation.
  • A strong project management toolbox and proven experience in product development within a regulated industry (preferably medical devices) in an international organization developing and producing advanced instruments.
  • 10+ years of experience as a Project Manager in a global, cross-functional environment.
  • Master’s degree in engineering or related field preferred, and a formal project management certification (e.g., PRINCE2).
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, enabling navigation in a matrix organization.
  • Analytical mindset and strong problem-solving abilities.

We are looking for an experienced profile who can both lead and develop project managers, as well as oversee and facilitate cross-functional projects that bring new products to our customers.

The position is based either at our office in Middelfart, Fyn, or in Smørum, Copenhagen with weekly presence in Middelfart.

Why join us?
This role offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of product development project management in Diagnostics. You will work closely with senior leaders, manage impactful projects, and contribute to a high-performing team that values collaboration, innovation, and strategic thinking.
