Get to know your new team and manager

You will report to the R&D team leader embedded software. You will become part of a team of dedicated embedded software specialists who value collaboration, knowledge sharing, and a supportive working environment.

 

Drive embedded software development from concept to release

In this role, you will work across the full embedded software stack, contributing to the development of advanced medical devices used in hearing and balance diagnostics. You will take ownership of key functionalities and play a central role in ensuring robust, high-quality solutions in a regulated environment.

 

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Develop embedded software for medical devices, ranging from low-level drivers to higher-level functionalities and embedded UI
  • Take technical ownership of features and contribute to architecture, design, implementation, and testing
  • Work closely with cross-functional stakeholders in R&D, including systems engineering, hardware, and product management
  • Contribute to feasibility studies, technical investigations, and continuous product improvements
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and documentation standards in a MedTech environment
  • Support verification and validation activities, including automated testing
  • Follow embedded software development procedure, standards and mitigate risks

 

The position is based at our Interacoustics headquarters in Middelfart or Maico headquarter Berlin, with flexibility to work from home when tasks allow.

An experienced embedded software engineer with a quality mindset

To succeed in this role, you bring strong technical expertise combined with a structured and quality-focused approach. You are comfortable working in complex environments and collaborate effectively with colleagues across engineering disciplines.

 

We imagine that you have:

  • A degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field
  • Solid experience developing embedded software
  • Strong proficiency in C and C++ for embedded systems
  • Good understanding of hardware, digital communication, and low-level software concepts
  • Experience with architecture, systems engineering, and requirement-driven development
  • Experience working in a regulated environment such as MedTech is a strong advantage
  • A structured approach to development, documentation, and quality assurance
  • Strong collaboration skills and the ability to engage with multiple stakeholders
