Azure DevOps Engineer

About the Role:

We are looking for a DevOps Engineer with 3–5 years of relevant experience to join our Web team. You will work in an agile environment, collaborating closely with back-end developers, front-end developers, editors, and Product Owners to support and evolve our digital platform.

Overview:

The team supports and develops approximately 160 websites focused on Hearing Aids and Hearing Care. These are built on a headless architecture using Sitecore DXP hosted in Microsoft Azure, with a Next.js frontend hosted on Vercel. 

Main Responsibilities & Tasks:

  • Develop, maintain, and optimise YAML pipelines and release processes in Azure DevOps
  • Provision, configure, and manage Azure infrastructure
  • Govern and improve DevOps practices, standards, and processes across the team
  • Support CI/CD workflows for both backend (Sitecore) and frontend (Next.js) platforms
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and ensure reliability of cloud environments

Competencies:

To Qualify for the Role:

  • Strong experience with Azure DevOps, including YAML-based pipelines and release workflows
  • Solid understanding of DevOps principles (CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, automation)
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure (resource provisioning, configuration, and management)
  • Strong PowerShell scripting skills for automation and infrastructure tasks
  • Experience managing and supporting production cloud environments
  • Knowledge of Azure networking concepts (VNets, private endpoints, etc.)
  • Familiarity with secrets management solutions (e.g., Azure Key Vault)
  • Experience supporting modern frontend deployments (e.g., Next.js or similar frameworks)
  • Proficiency with version control systems, especially Git
  • Experience with monitoring, logging, and troubleshooting in cloud environments
  • Strong understanding of security best practices in DevOps and cloud infrastructure

 

Nice to have, but not required:

  • Experience with Sitecore DXP and/or headless CMS architectures
  • Familiarity with Vercel and its deployment workflows
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g., Terraform, Bicep, ARM templates)
  • Understanding of frontend build pipelines and performance optimisation
  • Experience integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
  • Strong documentation and knowledge-sharing practices

  • Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104)
  • Azure Developer Associate (AZ-204)
  • Azure Security Engineer Associate (AZ-500)
  • Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900)
