Demant Enterprise A/S in Ballerup is our Center of Excellence for advanced automated manufacturing, utilizing state-of-the-art Surface Mount Technology (SMT) processes and equipment. 

 

As new amplifier designs are continuously developed for products such as Oticon hearing aids, we regularly introduce new production technologies, testing methodologies, and manufacturing equipment. To support this journey, we are looking for an Electronics Engineer to join our Test Systems Development team. 

 

The Role 

You will become part of a highly skilled team of eight Electronics and Software Engineers responsible for developing and maintaining production test solutions used in Demant's micro-SMT manufacturing environment. 

 

Our mission is to deliver reliable, scalable, and efficient production test systems that support the launch and manufacturing of new products. 

 

This position offers a unique combination of hands-on engineering, technology development, project participation, and production support. 

 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Develop, implement, and maintain electrical production test systems for new amplifier products. 
  • Support the development of software test interfaces and measurement systems. 
  • Act as a technical expert for production test systems and provide support to our production organization. 
  • Collaborate with software developers to define requirements, evaluate new releases, perform validation testing, and provide feedback for continuous improvement. 
  • Analyze production data in WATS to identify trends, optimize performance, and improve production flow. 
  • Conduct hardware design reviews and provide technical recommendations. 
  • Participate in New Product Introduction (NPI) projects and business-driven development initiatives, representing the hardware perspective. 
  • Maintain and continuously improve existing hardware test platforms and equipment. 

 

What You Will Work With 

The role offers significant variety and technical challenges. Your tasks may include: 

  • Designing and reviewing electronic circuits and PCB layouts. 
  • Developing measurement and test solutions for new products. 
  • Collaborating closely with R&D during product development and verification. 
  • Planning, building, and validating complete production test setups. 
  • Evaluating and implementing new technologies for manufacturing and testing. 

 

You will work closely with colleagues across Demant, including teams in Ballerup, our global headquarters, and manufacturing sites such as Szczecin, Poland. Collaboration with external suppliers and technology partners may also be part of your role. The job is located onsite in Ballerup.

Your Profile 

We are looking for an Electronics Engineer, Electronics Specialist, Electronics Technician, or someone with a comparable technical background. 

 

You have around 3,5 years of experience from production engineering, test engineering, automation, electronics development, or a related discipline. 

 

To succeed in this role, you likely have experience with: 

  • Analog and digital electronics. 
  • Electrical measurements and instrumentation. 
  • Low-frequency (LF) and high-frequency (HF) measurement techniques. 
  • Production test equipment and manufacturing environments. 
  • Amplifier circuits and audio-related electronics (preferred).
