Product Care Engineer

At Oticon Medical, we develop, produce and market bone-anchored hearing systems. At our site ITSA Medical in Vallauris (Sophia Antipolis), in the south of France, we specialize in the production of active implantable class III implants and soon also worldwide distribution of the company’s full product portfolio.
As our operations and financial flows continue to grow, we are currently seeking a Product Care Engineer to join our team
This role is key in maintaining our product portfolio and ensuring our technical documentation is always up to date. You will lead the change control committee meetings at the site and manage change control activities. You will play a crucial part in driving changes, ranging from minor adjustments to larger-scale modifications related to our in-market products and collaborate with other sites. These changes may involve design adjustments, material updates, supplier transitions, or compliance with new regulatory requirements.
You’ll collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to drive progress and uphold the quality of our work.
Responsibilities
As a Product Care Engineer, you will:
- Prioritize change activities within the product care roadmap with focus on activities at our ITSA Medical site.
- Coordinate change assessment by proactively seeking input from all relevant stakeholders
- Lead and/or contribute to projects related to product care and maintenance of our products and technical documentation.
- Ensure drawings, specifications, technical reports, and other relevant documentation remain accurate and updated.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers to maintain product quality in relation to documentation and production activities.
- Investigate and assess design and manufacturing issues alongside other departments and propose solutions.
Profile & Qualifications
- Engineering degree with 2+ years of experience in project management, manufacturing, R&D, or supply chain (preferably within medical devices).
- Strong technical understanding of products and production environments.
- Fluent in English & French
- Excellent relationship-building skills for cross-functional collaboration.
- Pragmatic, structured, and efficiency-driven mindset.
