At Oticon Medical, we develop, produce and market bone-anchored hearing systems. At our site ITSA Medical in Vallauris (Sophia Antipolis), in the south of France, we specialize in the production of active implantable class III implants and soon also worldwide distribution of the company’s full product portfolio. In addition, the site hosts an R&D team and the sales organization for France.
We are now seeking a highly skilled and experienced Logistic Director to head up the Oticon Medical global distribution activities and further strengthen our Oticon Medical operations organization. Reporting to the Oticon Senior Director of Operations you will be overall responsible for warehousing and distribution of Oticon Medicals product portfolio to customers worldwide.
Tasks
- Lead the distribution transfer project and coordinate cross-functional stakeholders (IT, Sales, ERP, Finance)

Recruit and manage the onsite team in Vallauris overseeing central distribution operations

Design and deploy regional and local distribution networks as part of a global program

Ensure cost-efficient operations by defining, monitoring and ensuring compliance with the annual budget

Contribute to ERP validation for logistics and distribution activities

Define and implement procedures to optimize flows in compliance with medical device GMP requirements

Support commercial activities through robust logistics processes, including returns management, repair replacements and loan device fleet management

Enforce applicable rules and procedures

Analyze and execute changes in line with regulatory requirements and company strategic decisions

Define distribution strategy and required resources

Secure daily operations and support ramp-up phases while maintaining a high level of service

Develop and monitor KPIs

Ensure on-time, in-full delivery to distributors and customers worldwide
Profile

Master’s degree (Bac+5) in Logistics / Supply Chain
-
Minimum 5 years’ experience in logistics and distribution within an international environment

Solid experience in financial monitoring and budget follow-up
Technical skills / Know-how:
-
Strong expertise in logistics and distribution, including inventory management and loaner services

Good knowledge of regulatory requirements in the pharmaceutical and/or medical device industry

Good understanding of customs management and transportation regulations
-
Proven experience in accounting and financial processes

Confirmed experience as an ERP user
