At Oticon Medical, we develop, produce and market bone-anchored hearing systems. At our site ITSA Medical in Vallauris (Sophia Antipolis), in the south of France, we specialize in the production of active implantable class III implants and soon also worldwide distribution of the company’s full product portfolio.

We are currently seeking an IT Support Technician (Level 1 & 2) to ensure the technical maintenance of all IT equipment within the company and guarantee the proper functioning and reliability of each device.

Reporting to the IT Manager, you will play a key role in delivering first- and second-level support to end users, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and contributing to the continuous improvement of IT services across the organization. 

Responsibilities

  • The assembly, installation, commissioning, and monitoring of new IT equipment and systems.
  • On-site or remote intervention on employees’ equipment to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
  • Hardware maintenance, including performing regular updates on employees’ workstations.
  • Ensuring the security of the company’s networks and data.
  • Implementing IT solutions to provide employees with the necessary resources to perform their tasks, with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Training staff members following the installation of new equipment and raising awareness about best practices for maintaining IT hardware.
  • Identifying equipment obsolescence and providing reports to management to support partial or full renewal of the IT infrastructure.
  • Monitoring and managing IT inventory and stock levels. 

Profile & Qualifications

  • A degree in IT, computer science, or a related field (Bac+2 or higher) is appreciated, but equivalent experience or a strong interest in IT environments will also be considered.
  • 2-3 years of experience in a similar position is a plus
  • Advanced proficiency in English
  • Strong technical knowledge of IT environments, operating systems, networks, and infrastructure solutions
  • Ability to quickly analyze issues and implement effective solutions, including in urgent situations
  • Curiosity and continuous learning mindset to stay up to date with technological developments
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage priorities effectively
