Oticon Medical BAHS specializes in developing, producing, and distributing advanced bone-anchored hearing systems, including long-term implants, sound processors, software, and surgical tools. We are a global leader in hearing solutions, and we are currently looking for a Financial Controller to join our Finance team in Gothenburg, Sisjön. 

We are building a team here of central functions and this role will be one of the upcoming positions within the Finance team at HQ for Oticon Medical. We are responsible for preparing and controlling the internal and external financial reporting of the Swedish Company as well as the consolidation reporting for the Business Area.

 

As a Financial Controller you will be working with accounting and reporting and maintain ongoing contact with the outsourced A/P A/R and G/L team as well as with our Tax partner. You will also help to create, improve and implement our financial routines and processes. You will oversee our internal and external financial reporting and ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency.

 

 

Key Responsibilities:
 

• Accounting:

Ensure compliance with current accounting standards (I FRS, GAAP, K3). Responsible for correct data being reported from ERP system to our consolidation tool (SAP/BPC). Participate in the audit process and ensure that documentation and reporting meet audit requirements.
 

• Regulatory compliance:

Ensure that the bookkeeping complies with applicable laws and regulations and stay up to date on new regulatory changes and implement these in the organization.
 

• Internal control:

Establish and improve processes and routines to ensure good internal control and high quality in the work.

 

 

Your profile:

 

Ideally, you have a master’s degree in business administration, Finance, Accounting or equivalent, combined with a few years of experience with accounting.  We also value self-willingness and drive to learn and to find information.

You are a dedicated and business-oriented person by nature with a good sense of quality and humor. You are a structured and analytical person. You act with integrity, simplicity, and accountability in your work. You enjoy working independently and keeping up to date on changes in regulations and legislation.
 

 

Qualifications:
 

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business administration or equivalent education.
 

• At least 2-3 years of experience within accounting, preferably with experience in consolidated accounting.
 

• Good knowledge of IFRS, GAAP and K3.
 

• In dept understanding in Accounting and good VAT knowledge with different set ups and good knowledge and understanding of tax issues.
