At Oticon Medical, we’re on a mission to improve the quality of life for people with severe hearing loss. We’re now looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join our R&D team in Askim, Sweden. Bring your mechanical design expertise – we’ll bring the purpose, the passion, and the people.

 

 

What You’ll Do

 

As a Mechanical Engineer, you’ll play a key role in developing our next-generation sound processors and implantable hearing systems. You’ll work in cross-functional teams alongside experts in R&D, Operations, Regulatory, Clinical, and Marketing.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Designing micro-mechanical components from concept to production
  • CAD modeling (we use PTC Creo)
  • Building and testing physical prototypes
  • Idea creation, design management and verification activities

  • Optimizing designs for cost, performance, and manufacturability
  • Managing design changes and updating technical documentation
  • Ensuring compliance with medical device regulations and standards
  • Document work in accordance with the company's development processes

 

 

What You Bring

We’re looking for someone who is hands-on, structured, and thrives in a collaborative environment. You likely have:

  • A BSc or MSc in Mechanical Engineering
  • 3–5 years of experience in mechanical design, preferably in medical devices or other regulated industries
  • Skills in CAD modeling (preferably Creo)
  • Experience with fine mechanics and plastic components
  • A proactive, solution-oriented mindset and documentation skills
  • Fluency in English (spoken and written)
