At Oticon Medical, we’re on a mission to improve the quality of life for people with severe hearing loss. We’re now looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join our R&D team in Askim, Sweden. Bring your mechanical design expertise – we’ll bring the purpose, the passion, and the people.

What You’ll Do

As a Mechanical Engineer, you’ll play a key role in developing our next-generation sound processors and implantable hearing systems. You’ll work in cross-functional teams alongside experts in R&D, Operations, Regulatory, Clinical, and Marketing.

Your responsibilities will include:

Designing micro-mechanical components from concept to production
CAD modeling (we use PTC Creo)
Building and testing physical prototypes
Idea creation, design management and verification activities
Optimizing designs for cost, performance, and manufacturability
Managing design changes and updating technical documentation
Ensuring compliance with medical device regulations and standards
Document work in accordance with the company's development processes

What You Bring

We’re looking for someone who is hands-on, structured, and thrives in a collaborative environment. You likely have:

A BSc or MSc in Mechanical Engineering
3–5 years of experience in mechanical design, preferably in medical devices or other regulated industries
Skills in CAD modeling (preferably Creo)
Experience with fine mechanics and plastic components
A proactive, solution-oriented mindset and documentation skills
Fluency in English (spoken and written)
