General Ledger Manager

We are seeking an accomplished and detail-oriented General Ledger Manager to lead our Finance Shared Service Center. The ideal candidate will oversee the general ledger team, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, compliance with accounting standards, and efficient reconciliation processes. The General Ledger Manager will play a key role in maintaining the integrity of our financial records and implementing best practices within the finance team.

What tasks are waiting for you?

  • Managing a team of +25 GL specialists currently led by 4 Team Leaders reporting to you.
  • Recruiting, supporting and motivating team members.
  • Ensuring highly efficient knowledge management within the team.
  • Overseeing GL performance according to agreed quality/efficiency KPIs and other internal requirements.
  • Developing and executing on the GL strategy and objectives.
  • Delivering high quality processes in a timely and accurate manner and coordinating period closing procedures.
  • Developing new standards and solutions to ensure that compliance requirements are met.
  • Building and maintaining good business relationships with internal partners and external stakeholders in order to achieve high standard of services.
  • Participating in projects, training & supporting new initiatives in the organization as a leader.
  • Supporting implementation of Continuous Improvement culture within SSC organization.
  • Responsibility for the budgeting process for the GL department.

 

It would be great if you have:

  • an extensive background in Finance preferably within SSC or BPO environment, and preferably from GL;
  • a proven people leadership track record and you lead by example;
  • most likely a Master degree in Finance and Accounting or similar;
  • proficient in ERP systems and MS Office;
  • strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and general ledger best practices;
  • a readiness to prepare and deliver presentations on a regular basis;
  • curiosity and a can-do attitude;
  • a high level of independence and ownership of your area;
  • demonstrated ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions;
  • English skills that allow you to communicate seamlessly in business situations.
