Senior Category Manager - Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS)

Direct Strategic Procurement is growing to enable us to drive mores savings, focus on our strategic areas and scale the procurement organization and our capabilities, to meet business needs. We are now looking for a dedicated Senior Category Manager to lead our EMS category. In this role, you are part of shaping the direction of the category and Demant’s collaboration with our suppliers within outsourced development and manufacturing.

You’ll be joining a dynamic and growing team of soon 14 colleagues based in Denmark and Poland. We are a team of Category Managers and Program Managers, with various backgrounds and experiences, and many different nationalities. As individuals we are driven and ambitious procurement professionals, and as a team we always support each other, prioritize knowledge sharing, learning and professional sparring across categories.

What tasks are waiting for you?
• Drive category strategy and support further development of the outsourced development and manufacturing scope.
• Engage and build strong stakeholder relationships ensuring transparency, compliance, and strategic alignment.
• Lead end-to-end sourcing activities including market analysis, supplier identification, RFx processes, evaluation, and award recommendations.
• Lead negotiations and support commercial decision-making.
• Manage contracting and drive value creation across supplier engagements.
• Engage and support cost-out activities within the Strategic Cost & Improvement Program.
• Support the enhanced focus on procurement method, process, structure and strategy.

• have a commercial or technical university degree—or have gained relevant knowledge through other meaningful experience;
• bring several years of experience in procurement or category management;
• have solid understanding of procurement disciplines and methodologies;
• enjoy taking ownership of tasks, implementing improvements, and driving them to completion;
• possess strong analytical thinking and communication skills;
• excel at supplier and stakeholder relationship management;
• work independently, take responsibility naturally, and thrive in a collaborative team environment;
• bring experience working within the EMS area.

*Some travel is to be expected in the role. There will be travels to the team in KBN and also to suppliers.
